The upcoming release of Hollywood war movie “Fury” in Japan has caught the attention of wary otaku thanks to narration by Girls und Panzer‘s adorable tank fanatic Yukari Akiyama.
While anime characters advertising live-action movies is rare enough, one in support of a foreign movie is all but unheard of – though the incentive is likely due to the use of M4 Sherman and Tiger tanks in the film, some of the mainstays of Girls und Panzer.
The CM for the film is so worth watching that Kadokawa has been busily expunging it from YouTube, though fans can still try their luck with TV or something:

Ordering tickets in advance will even grant buyers clear files emblazoned with official art of Kantai Collection, Strike Witches and Girls und Panzer – all glorious military-themed anime.

Understandable that this should happen. G.u.p. is being used as a tutorial for the game World of Tanks, and the makers of that game had a hand in “Fury”
