If you like this anime I HIGHLY reccomend you go thru the visual novel, the anime so far follows the routes pretty closely if not excatly for the major point, however ALOT of stuff was left out of michiru's route due to time constraints. It'll prob be the same for the other routes: Amane, Sachi, Yumiko and Makina. For example what happened during amane's past in the vn took 10+ hours to read and I am a fast reader. You can find it on fuwanovel google it. They have a torrent of it with the eng translation for it. I can't reccomend it enough its one of my top 5 VN's I have read, it also has Hentai scenes with each girl too.
I'm confused as to the premise. As I understand it, the girls are imprisoned in the academy, like some sort of juvenile (offender?) resocialization program. Yet from all the screenshots of the anime I've seen so far, it looks like they are free to go wherever.
I need to know this to decide whether I go for it or not. If it's the former situation, no amount of good writing and engaging characters can make me watch/play it.
They're not imprisoned. That academy is just the only place that they can live somewhat normally because they're all too broken to fit into regular society. They each came there for their own reasons, some by their own will, and others against their will.

The only thing that is hard to take in (even in the VN) is Michiru's double personality. It is too much of an ass pull. Anyway, given she has it, I think all was really well made.
This was SUPER rushed. I wonder if they'll even have the Amane route, since all H-scenes were skipped, and that's basically all her route even is.
Amane's sex scenes are a minority of her route. Her past is the majority.

Anyone who has studied a little bit of psychology can relate to what i said. That they cut 90% of what happens changes nothing, why don't you try closing a random mental ill girl in a coffin for 3 days and see what happens? As soon as your favourite story has a plot hole you make as many excuses as you want, when you talk about stories you dont like everything is not realistic.

Ugh, so they really are doing a condensed version of every route, but in a way that the MC doesn't commit to any of them.
Michiru's route was extremely dumb in my opinion. All of the other routes are based in reality, then Michiru's route has to go and magically manifest the heart donor's personality as a second personality within Michiru.
