1) The people complaining about beta male MCs and Gary Stus are DIFFERENT people. Just because they're both anons doesn't imply same person.
2) What these people like may be "moderation", a protagonist who is not a wimp but does not make everyone else in the show look massively incompetent for the sake of garnering audience worship. Jotaro is one protagonist who is massively competent but I have yet to see anyone call him Gary Stu.
3) They don't want self-gratifying animes, both animes where literal goddesses fall in love with a pathetic ultra average and mundane MC for no other given reasons than "love at first sight" and animes where again, everyone has to kneel to the MC otherwise they will instantly be portrayed as evil are stupid self-gratification written by authors who can't thik of anything but one dimensional ego-trip is bull.

Yuuna wa Yuusha is DULL. After the first episode, you want that wheelchair girl to die or they start dying one by one. Seriously, it's like a yuri mainstream battle anime. WHICH btw has a ridiculous setup of contradiction of a god being lazy, sending girls into battle instead of doing the job while enclosing whatever town it's protecting.

Episode 4 was kinda underwhelming to be honest. Not much progression in plot at all. It only picked up a little at the very end.
Not much on plot but more on character development mainly Sento's and Seiya's. A little background history is good especially while its still early in the series.
While Isuzu showers, bathes or changes about as well as any girl in anime, I'm worried about the show. It feels kind of stilted to me. For example, they had to put in the opening scene of the third episode just to remind us how narcissistic the MC is but then they forget about it. And there's a lot of plodding along with stuff, such as when Kanie and the lovely muses followed Isuzu on her rounds, or when they did the inspection or dealt with the flooding.
And the whole bit about Isuzu being a failure but a lovable one wore me out. I don't think they know what they want this show to be about yet.
They've extended the deadline from the novel from 14 days to 3 three months. So I wouldn't be too surprised if it progresses so slowly compared to the novel, which took only one volume.

It's not up to KyoAni; IIRC the FMP novels are almost or completely finished, so the publishers don't see the point in having more story animated to promote sales of a non-ongoing series.
Closure. Animes that does have a complete closure of its series often become a classic. Seeing the series fully fluid and moving instead of reading it halfway is quite better imo.
