I loved his last two series, expecially Mx0. I haven't read this yet, but it it is even close to as good, I hope they don't axe it either. The guy is really unlucky.
Does being "shounen" actually mean anything anymore? I mean what is even the distinguishing line between shounen and seinen these days anyway?
Seinen are getting dumber, with most seemingly using the demographic only to make people take it more seriously(lolSAO) while shounen aren't shying away from showing nudity or full blown gore anymore(granted the gory part was always around since Hokuto no Ken, but still).
And nudity was also. Ranma appeared as a naked girl from the very first chapter, with nipples and all, over 25 years ago. But well, that was Weekly Shonen Sunday, not Shonen Jump...
