THe mango had flippy-flopped panels when it came out in murrka because we read the correct way, but moonspeak is backwards. They called him lefty after the flip because his actual name means "righty". You've just been reading it as a mirror image.

They took some pretty nice character designs and replaced them with generic ugly shit. Fucking Madhouse always have to rape their adaptions to death...

The issue with the car is not the hand, but the rest.
Okay, the parasite inhabits the whole arm and likely dampened the impact, but the problem I'm having with that scene is that his shoulder would dislocate, his spine break and his feet would be unable to provide enough grip to stay where he was in the first place.

The parasyte even tho it is in his arm it also enhances his body higher strenth boost faster speed great jumping ability ect.
That only happens when Migi had to sacrifice 30% of himself in an emergency to save Shinji. In the manga, the parasites attack people and find that they break their bones and dislocate their own limbs because human bodies are not sturdy enough to withstand the parasite's style.
His hand was kind of a douchebag, he needs to take another try with a knife.
