Hoping to hype fans up for the imminent second season of Psycho-Pass, Namco Bandai have revealed a rather classy replica of the show’s signature “Dominator” – getting as close as possible to the “real” thing.
The gun boasts LED lights that supposedly shift from a calm blue to an agitated red when the firearm is handled by any other than its owner (just how or if this truly works has not been elaborated on), and also impressively contains recorded lines from Noriko Hidaka, who voiced the gun.

A few years ago some Trekkie built a working phaser rifle replica using a modified plasma torch that projects a lethal "beam" up to a distance of 2 meters. It'll burn a hole right through you. Soon after, some Star Wars nerd made a lightsaber out of it.
They could've totally built a functioning firearm, with all that empty space inside the "weapon".
And hire a foreigner to say DOMINEITA *ehm*, I mean, dominator.
They can build a functioning firearm that looks like dominator but it won't get approved, sadly they can't build a functioning firearm that also transforms like dominator since that's transformers level of transformation.
I'm actually kind of worried because not only does it not transform, the sounds for the Eliminator and Destroyer modes don't seem to be programed in it either.
For it's price, I'd really hope to see the items in the line live up to the line's name.
Some guy made a simple transforming one out of cardboard.
Seeing how that functions, I figure it would be simple to translate that into a spring-loaded function for a plastic model.
But I reckon Bandai took the easy way out and just mass produced the resin kit and gave it lights and sounds.
