People used to actually paint women a lot fatter than this girl because they and the general public found them attractive because "fat" looked healthy, it represented someone well fed and that represented good health/wealth. Fat doesn't = obesity. Even "obesity" isn't so unhealthy because some people who meet the modern medical requirements of being diagnosed with obesity can actually still be healthy people (and can even be athletic yet can't lose the weight due to genes). If she is so "fat" that she's unhealthy, then grab around anywhere on your torso and if you feel any amount of fat in your hands go check yourself in to the hospital so the docs can have a good laugh at you. BTW, more fat cells mean more estrogen (which is why women naturally are supposed to have more fat than men), and more estrogen is naturally more feminine... (and i dont mean to say slimmer/smaller women are less feminine, because all average/fit women have %20 to %30 body fat, on average %5 more compared to men, regardless of their size or shape).

In the 1970s less than 10% of the US population was overweight, today over 30% of Americans are overweight. Video games, fast food, junk food & people that only know how to use a microwave are to blame.
Why pretty much everyone here is confusing simple fat with being overweight and obese at all, let alone to an unhealthy or even morbid extent, is beyond my understanding. The health problem in America was/is obesity, not simply fat. Fat is something we all have and need, it's not a problem. This is why it's so important to learn proper English and the actual meaning behind words, as well as practice some amount of articulation, before discussing anything.
In England and the United States there are rising obesity levels among adults. I have nothing against these people either, fact remains as a society we're getting larger.
