The 10th episode of VRMMOFPS anime Sword Art Online 2 has rather hastily escalated in intensity, with its gun-toting protagonists engaging in some vehicular gunfight action while Shinon continues to suffer through more devastating character development – revealing some more of her usually reserved but unfathomably moe feelings.

wtf is the point of this show in the first place? Such a terrible god damn mess, and a huge rip off of Dot Hack.

Dot hack is timeless. Thats why people still love it and prefer it over SAO. Who are you to tell us what we can or can't say about a series. You do the same thing thats for damn sure.

The ONLY things SAO has over dot hack is combat and artwork. Story and character development for SAO is almost none existent. Dot hack was basically nothing but character development and story.
Music for both series is very good. but i'd rather visual accompaniment with SAO, where as dot hack, i can just listen to and visualize.
Only idiots will even so much as use the word "Nostalgia" in any arguments because they have zero argument to begin with.
Dot Hack is one of the originals and still done better honestly. "Btoom" was even a good one since it was an extremely different spin, rather than going into a virtual world..it's still the real world with the illusion of it being a game.

I am getting pretty frustrated with this show, honestly. The story feels like it SHOULD be good, but so little actually happens in an episode that it's like reading a book a paragraph at a time - and then five paragraphs in realizing you're almost out of pages. The episodes needed to be an hour long with some actual content; this one had barely over 15 minutes of actual content (not counting the recap from last episode, which is nothing but a waste of time). I've seen longer commercials.

This anime is getting annoying now. I understand Asuna, and then his sister even though she didnt know what his online persona was (so its still fucking stupid but whtevs) and now Sinon. Like, they hardly had enough bonding to even get as close as they are. The writer seriously just makes every girl run to Kirito's side and I'm tired of it!

To begin with, everyone that plays GGO is an idiot. They made it clear when kirito is the only "berserker" in the game which is a game played internationally. I mean, come on.. surely with the millions of players, there's gotta be at least 10 of them using swords.
Another logic bending fact that a girl who's traumatized only needs to be provoked to get over her fear and apparently haven't encountered the same gun that gave her the trauma despite again, the number of players that plays this game AND the auction feature of the game that ups the chances of her seeing it.
There's a lot of anomalies in this series that fans just brush aside because of an OP character which is oddly frowned on The Irregular in Magic Highschool. Are the anime viewers dumb or just chose to be dumb? Seriously...

The actual physical body of Kirito was quite safe in the hospital. Sinon not so much, which the actual murderer would be trying to kill.

Ah, the typical "broken past". I gave up on hoping for sensible character development beyond clinging to Protagonist-kun and hoping he will make everything better a long time ago. Now I'm just waiting for the inevitable bikini and bathhouse episodes.

You're right about the broken past thing, and character development in many of these weaker shows turns out to actually just be revealment of the character's past. This episode had a little bit too much of a crying jag though for me. Oh well, wishing it were better ain't gonna make it so.

Still hate Kirito for being nothing more than a wish fulfillment character by the writer. So far Kirito has had basically everything given to him and barely had any struggle.

Personally I think they goofed not covering the Laughing Coffin arc among other things during the first season, it would have given Death Guns vendetta against Kirito more legitimacy, because flashbacks alone simply would never make up for what easily could have been 2-3 episodes in the first arc.
They'll have this problem again soon too with the Caliber stuff that was introduced in the Alfheim arc but was skipped over.
I guess in fairness though, they would and could have ended up with 24 episodes of the first arc leaving Alfheim and GGO for Season 2. Would have been better that way.
The way it is now, it looks like the Laughing Coffin subplot was made up on the spot.

It was skipped over in favor of a rushed release. There were quite a few scenes skipped. They skipped because it would slow the pace down to a crawl though, a complete adaption of each arc would be a fair bit longer.
There was more at stake in the Aincrad story/arc.

Your main Villain (the guy who created the game) watching you from some undisclosed location, you challenging every obstacle that he's put in front of you, barely escaping each one with only a few HP points away from certain death... and then you up the stakes by adding "girlfriend" Asuna now having to make sure you and SHE survive until the end...
From what I saw with "Season One", they RUSHED IT.
Deep down I think they must have thought that this was a series that was going to fail, and so rushed getting through it by making each arc a 13 episode series. Unbeknownst to them the series earned a LOT more Hype than they were expecting and turned out that they had screwed themselves over a potentially successful Extended Series. (And by that I mean Have Aincrad 24 episodes, Alfheim 24, GGO 24.. and so on... as in take their time and do it right.)
Well, it's pointless to cry over spilt milk, and I think that they know it as well. So what they're doing here is making up for that by doing this Season properly as a full 24 episode series. But I guess we'll just have to see how well they can pull this off.

That's why Kirito started relations with as many females as he could find. If a few of them didn't make it out, well… not so good for them, but zero impact on him. Given the NTR factor in the second arc, Asuna must have been his first choice.
Maybe the Aincrad arc could have been a little longer, not 24 eps. but a little longer. But there is no way GGO could have been 24 eps. long, there is just not enough material.
I just felt like the Laughing Coffin stuff should have been covered, especially as its significant to this arc. People will be wondering just why the hell Deathgun hates Kirito so much.
Anyway GGO wont be 24 episodes, they're pretty much at the climax. 3 more episodes at most.
