Short story, princess suffers attack by Martians disguised as earthlings waiting as a reward back to Mars, goes to the meeting point ..
Among them the killer girl (maybe half Martian ?!)ends in a burning file for knowing too much, robo pic 12 to cover the truth kills almost the entire group including the father of the murderer girl..
She escapes and blames Martians, taking revenge on Princess that the father should have killed in the first place ..
Well, like they said, in short it's just vengeance, but if you must know...
In the beginning she was roped in with her father and some other adults to assassinate the blonde girl who is a martian princess. Their motive in doing so was to gain status with the martians, but the martian they were working for obviously used them as pawns. Her father and co. were killed in her sight by said martian. Since then she has extremely hated martians. Then later she finds out they didn't actually assassinate the princess but a double, and when the princess revealed her identity most people accepted her and her ideals. That made her mad enough to attack the princess which again, was her assassination target to begin with.

It is quite likely that she has lost her conscience, after all the scene where she points a gun at the end of the op was not displayed ..
I think she has a much bigger involvement than just apparent victim and help the earth ..

not just anime, happens all the time in movies and games as well and i dont remember a single case where they survived.
Fate Zero. Rin's mother survived being strangled until she was unconscious. albeit she was permanently brain damaged after that.

She may not be dead. Power probably deactivated because she fell unconscious or something of the likes.
No, it only needed to be activated by her.
If thats true then it wouldn't make sense that the ship just happened to lose power and crash as she was dropped. But still they wouldn't just give them a flying ship to have them stop using it immediately so she's got to be alive.
It was activated by her, obviously - but if she's unconscious, the ship would not function w/ out her.

If I wanted a silly hamfest like Black Bullet, I'd just watch Black Bullet. Even Gen seemed to realize this was a joke and stopped after episode 3. Shame he didn't do the same with Gargantia.
