Despite all the ecchi, this show had some dark themes. We still haven't learned how Hiyori died and who she really is (Although the ED is probably how it played out). And Mitsuki still has to work out issues from her abusive father and her lonely childhood. Is Neko really an angel?
It's better to read the manga, the anime adaptation isn't really that good, sadly :(

In fact they were forced around the 4-5th episode to air the anime at later hours even like this, because they felt it's too ecchi.
