Energetic idol anime Wake Up Girls has released its 6th upgraded BD, making even more improvements and adjustments to the rather unsatisfactory quality of its TV run – with fans doubtless hopeful its upcoming mini-series “Wake Up Girls Zoo” will be of a better standard of animation quality.
The disappointingly subpar TV broadcast can be seen on the left with the “splendor of spenders” BD version on the right:

Why spend any though no redrawing the dudes and the trains. That's definitively not why anyone watches this series.
because koreans animating it didn't know the difference between a chinese bullet train and a japanese bullet train
PROTIP: both of those are Shinkansen. Even the colours are mostly correct.
So again, why the pointless redraw, unless someone put in the wrong train for the *location* or JR East/JR West lines, whereever the show actually takes place. Correcting THAT would be ridiculously anal but I wouldn't put it past the Japanese.
the thing I don`t understand is why redraw the trains if both lines (hayabusa - left, komachi - right) stop at Sendai and go to Tokyo...
Don't know why it gets so much hate, thought it was better than Love Live season 1 personally.
But then season 2 of LL came and just blew it out of the water.
At least this anime is so much better than Free or any other fuckjoshit/yaoishit anime this season.

I think OC is a little confused... S1 was better than S2 when it comes to LL.
Tho, LL is a series based mainly on anime and the girls, where WUG is based on the more realistic tribulations of them becoming idols. WUG did far better in depicting what they actually do to rise to being an idol than any other idol series...

i like WUG. the rags to riches story...kinda.
I like WUG cos it gives a more realistic view on the world of idols and I like rooting for the underdog.
THIS. despite the fantasy regarding I-1 Club (that brainwashing training and all), it is by far the most realistic anime ever made revolving around idols.
the tv series had an awful animation and some up and downs in the plot, but the movie is superb.

Looks like a crappy version of Love Live.
Looks can be deceiving. I liked LL just fine, but WUG is a more realistic take on the process of rising from obscurity to Idol status.
