Indded, there are a few in Japan too, indeed, but the 99% are not morbidly obese like in the states or 50% in Europe. And that does not imply that they shouldn't cosplay or anything, they should and have fun with their hobby, ignoring trolls, but rather work towards being a little healthier... afterall some extra fat on boobs and butt opens very interesting possibilities ;)

Cosplay conventions are everywhere to be fair, each American state has dozens every year(Mostly low key in comparison though).
