Also, most of the people reply to this survey are over 30.
If this list was labeled "favorite 'couples' of the last few seasons of anime" then I wouldn't have a problem with that idea. But if it's truly 30 year olds (ie people who have likely seen a lot of anime) voting, and this is the list they came up with, then it's a sad day to be counted as a otaku.
There are so many popular couples just from the last 15+ years that it makes no sense to limit yourself to the most popular CURRENT anime, unless you're not picking your favorites and just going with the popular opinion. Which is amazingly sad. You might as well not even have a poll if you know the results will be this predictably boring.

pff, if crappy tsundere/idiot protagonist pairings are on the list I can expect anything. and the I believe that misaka and touma or the nisekoi characters never were on a formal relationship, so those pairings are as valid as saying naruto/hinata or ichigo/orihime
If you had read the paragraph, you saw that unrequited pairings also made the list. Whether they are valid or not is irrelevant, since they were voted for anyway.

Honestly, Kirito and Asuna are the fakest couple I've ever seen in my life. Both of these characters are just so poorly thought out and have about as much complexity/depth as a slip n slide.
That's partially down to the first SAO series rushing through the LN material.

The males? Nah. They need as little personality and character as possible so the viewer can project themselves into them.

That relationship was not present on screen for over 20 episodes. Spike x Faye would make more sense.
