The latest World Bodypainting Festival has yet again paraded around some attractive ladies artistically smattered head to toe in paint – as usual posing the question of whether it is their artistic paintwork or the paint covering itself which distinguishes them from those who merely cavort toplessly in public.
The festival of 2011 can also be witnessed for those who desire more.

How come all these models have small boobs?
Big boobs take up too much paint?
Because canvas are flat!
Agreed great comment.
Lol!
Best comment ever
Natural boobs always look like that without a bra.
Some of them look like Stands.
true that. should be named to Stand Festival.
This is beautiful, a little odd, but these are some amazing pieces of work, especially considering their temporary nature. Who said it was a freak show? They're fuckin' retarded. What did they expect from body painting art expos?
I must be going rotten or something. I'm finding myself agreeing with you more than I am comfortable with. Most of the "Body Art" was extremely well done. It's almost impossible to get that clarity and "finish" from painting on someone's body. It's not like painting on a canvas. A canvas dosen't move, or contort, or bend. Most of what I see is really excellent works.
A nice spin on pop-art, but if it was just the pop-art itself, it'd be crap.
Gah, pop-art should die already.
Yep, sankom writers are totally retarded.
Calling this a freakshow or comparing it to femen is ridiculous.
The theme this year seems to be pop art and although they are all well executed, I think only the cow really combines the theme well with body paint.
>expecting the pedophillic blob-worshippers of Sandy Cum to have tastes in art
Too bad, no catgirl/furry bodypaints :(
I bet the artists see these images in their heads all the time.
Still would hit it...
So this is where the ideas for enemies in Silent Hill games come from?
Wooooh Nellii! Hold up there ..
#3 ukraine? lol, why they come on festival with this shit? they have pickets where they force they own government to continue kill people on east ukraine. (!)
Russians can only do two things; making car crash videos; and talk about Ukraine.

What does this have to do with japan, anime and otaku culture?
Probably the tits.
Where are the asian tits?
Japan popularized that.
No it didn't.
It was popular in the 30s, when Sally Rand got arrested for it in Chicago's world fair. Then became a huge hit in the art crowd in the 50s/60s in Europe and the US. Then it revitalized in the 80/90s, and has since been featured in many art galleries world wide.
Japan had nothing to do with the popularity.
There's a what????
Uh, who exactly used the phrase "a total freakshow". Because half the time when quotes are used in these stories in the banner headline it never really mentions who made them in the first place.
Can't say those are artistically interesting, just a mixture of pop-"art" and random colours.
dafuq did i just see
How can have a bunch of naked women in a room full of men and not have any of them aroused? Please see above.
Because real artists don't look at models as sex objects. Just like how people who draw from real nude models dont get aroused when sketching them.
Real artists are more perverted that anyone else, they aren't aroused because they're either saving up stamina for the back stage banging, or have already taken care of it.
It's perfectly normal to sketch with a hard on, the models don't mind either.
Bullshit. It takes all kind of people to be artists - and plenty of them get their motivation from their sexual arousal.
