Episode 2 of top VRMMO anime Sword Art Online 2 has at last showcased more of the hailstorm of bullets that is Gun Gale Online, while also providing a closer look at the divinely lithe Sinon – whose beauty seems to be rousing more attention than the intrigue behind the gender of Kirito’s new avatar.

At least we know fall damage doesn't exist in this world...
and having wings and flying freely isn't either
Quite possibly explained with the combination of monstrous recoil and explosive opposing pneumatic force generated from projectile impact.
Though it wouldn't explain how her arms are still attached...
lets go with no physical repercussions due to recoil... Then lets slap in a healthy reduction in damage via physical environmental effects for safe measure. Thus requiring PvP or PvE interaction to appropriately "be killed"
Fall damage didn't exist in Alfheim Online either. Kirito fell like a bitch when he first started flying and his HP didn't drop.
This one worth a watch? I wanna watch it but dunno if if it is gonna be like season 1 eps 16-25 bad.
The two arcs for this season are apparently the two best arcs in he novel.
...right after Alicization
stfu non anon
Go watch JoJo instead. Or anything else really.
i love girls with that hair style, its coming back in style. Momiko~
Awesome anime looks awesome, can't wait for BDs but will wait anyway.
Haa see sexy Kirito trap in 1080p ..
Was preferable to keep the character as a guy and this avatar was someone else.
Even as a new rival of Asuna ..
But nooo ... how anime was going to be horrible without any trap ..
thank you beta testers
Waiting for someone to create an XxxMLG420Y0L0xxX montage parody.
Oh shit nevermind someone already made one

That was rather lame.
It was actually good until that over the top death from above no scope.
IMO more of Sinon's team should have died to emphasized how fucked they were by the guy with the minigun.
Though I have to say, the icon for their weapons in the first person view hud was wrong. Are mistakes like these going to be more commonplace with the notion that they can fix it in the BD?
maybe the SVD is a generic icon for sniper class weapons. =p
My bad, Shinon already had a Skeleton type rifle icon before receiving the Hecate which had an SVD icon.
Also, Ultima Ratio is a completely different rifle from a Hecate, PGM's Ultima fires a 6.72 instead of Hecate's .50bgm. Who did the research for this stuff?!!?
Watching the first episode gave me hope for the attention to detail in that regard but it looks like there's two cooks in the kitchen.
not even having to go that far in detail, clearly and SVD is different from the Blaser L93 series in that SVD is a semi automatic while she clearly uses a bolt action rifle
R93*
Tasche its 7.62 not 6.72
typo, my bad.
You assume research was even done to begin with. This is SAO by A-1 Pictures, not something like Girls und Panzer by Studio Actas. SAO by no means was EVER accurate in anyway, as far as I know. Any accuracy of the SAO world to real life is either coincidence or plot-induced/-required.
While I do like the SAO series in general despite its (many, some would say) flaws, "shown their work" was never a factor. GuP is a shining example of that trope. SAO is too busy living off the hype to make money off the fandom and too cheap to spend any of that money on real research.
You have to admit it: the otaku (by this, I mean the people who have expert-level knowledge in a topic, not the stereotype) are far outnumbered by the mainstream viewers who don't care if a sniper rifle silhouette is that of an SVD or M82 instead of the ACTUAL one of the gun in a char's hand(s).
Hey guys, what if... the game makes its own guns, like energy guns? Perhaps the Ultima Ratio Hecate is two guns put together to emphasis how amazing it is?
If I remember, it was somewhat mentioned in the novel that the guns used on monsters were more 'fantasy' themed. Hence lasers and stuff, and were not intended to be accurate gun models. While those used on other players were more realistic.
Also, I think it was also mentioned in the afterword of the novel that the author admits that he wasn't all that knowledgeable about guns and stuff. Which explains some of the descrepancies...
Guessing all the idiots commenting on the wrong icons, wrong weapon names have never read the goddamn Light Novels have they? READ THE SOURCE! A-1 is just being faithful to the Light Novel. HERP DERP. If you can't figure that out, why even bother watching? Anime in general most likely hurts your heard too much if you can't even figure out THAT BASIC FACT!
Actually in the light novel, only Sinon and another guy survive, anime shows the death of 2, i guess they cut off the others to save budget.
why does every Article title have to be sexualized here? it's hilarious
Becuz Sankaku Complex.
Sexy? Where?
KIMOCHI WARUI
Hey look, shit.
>get stuck inside vrmmo
>finally escape shitty vrmmo
>inject into another vrmmo for princess rescue mission
>escape from that shitty vrmmo
>play more vrmmo
future japan must really suck hard or everyone is so damned ugly, that they'd rather fuck in the virtual world
Shitty virtual world? I would love to be able to play a game where you feel like your there and can fly or shoot amazing weapons.
Now the avatar is probably from an ex-player or maybe one that was killed as she was known as the best sharp shooter. He has to make that avatar well known to get the killer to start trying to target her/him so he can find out how the deaths are being done.
Him and Asuna both have an interest in making sure the virtual games don't get shut down or they will not be able to see there AI child Yui.
If people are able to kill people in online games they would be shut down and banned and they both have an interest in that not being done.
The show is pretty interesting so far and just like the others he has to become stronger in the game for a purpose.
"not be able to see there (their) AI child Yui"
Stopped caring right there. After that, the show became just puke-worthy.
Same could be said about drugs. Does really shitty things to you, but they keep going back for more.
That first point you mentioned sums up the Alicization arc.
I only watch this for Sinon. Well, not that I know the whole story.
Oh also, Miyuki Sawashiro, Banzai♪
A fan of her.
a waste of good animation..
So, is it still a complete gary stu anime, or...?
It is a fucking normal anime with a fucking normal MC . If you want a gary stu just look at haseo(killed group of 100 players ) and noone cared at the time!
lolno.
Not going to defend Haseo (because he's total fucking Gary Stu), but yeah, Kirito is a definition of a Gary Stu. I'd advice you take a second to look up the definition of Mary Sue/Gary Stu and just accept it.
It's a "normal" anime with pseudo-harem elements, fulfillment writing and a Gary Stu of a MC.
wish fulfillment writing? yep
It's actually Mary Sue now that Kirito is a girl.
Actually, he used to be a nub. Look at season 1, He trained and trained and leveled up and became the best, but it didn't show much and had to skip. Either too much content/things for them to add it all or they didn't have excellent pacing, either way, He earned his way up to be strong.
@07:58
Watch Season 1 again, Kirito was an ex Beta tester that claimed to be the best basically in the opening episodes. As in he says he was better than most players, went the furthers yadda yadda ya.
The beginning doesn't matter. The rest of the show made him the God of Gary Stu.
Obviously, did you even need to ask?
