I'll say it now... there's no way in hell this level of animation quality will keep up throughout this series. I really hate it when studios think it's necessary to do this to bait their audience, at least be honest with us. If you can't keep up the production values for most of the series, find a better balance. Episode 1, 2, maybe 3 will look like this, the rest will range from mediocre to crap.
have you seen kioukay no kanata? or Nagi no Asukara,or ef tale of memories, michiko to hatchin, samurai champloo, kuroko no basuke, free, they kept production values up to the end, some studios trow more money on the first and last episodes, some on the first two, and some in none at all (tokyo ghoul)
Yes, yes, no, yes, yes, no, no. I disagree with Michiko to Hatchin in particular. I don't think it sustained the animation quality of the first episode for most of the series, but I also don't think it dropped off a cliff either. I feel like Samurai Champloo really stood out in that regard, very impressive, and rare. Recent KyoAni stuff has also been nothing short of amazing. It's too bad I can't say the same about their story department.
It's a nice list, but my point still stands. For every one of those 3 you've mentioned that I've seen and agree with, and a couple more that I can think of off the top of my head, there are many, many more that do exactly what I described in my previous comment.

Are you new to this? This is a very common paradigm in the anime industry. A tell tale sign is ridiculously high, practically theatrical release production values in the first episode. In other words, visual gratuity that can't possibly be sustained for even a 12 episode series.
But I'm guessing since you haven't noticed it up to now, you probably aren't the most qualified person to be making the judgment call on this one.
I'm just saying there are very few instances where a studio has been able to sustain something like this for most of a series, so I'm not sure where your confidence is coming from. You're either A. a noob, B. A fanboy, or C. Involved in the project (highly doubt it), in which case you're probably lying to promote a product. In any case I think the odds are in my favor.

Lest we not forget the infamy of the second-to-last episode of Wizzard Barristers; a great show that will forever carry the "Quality Animation" tag for one of their episodes...
Here we thought the quality van from Polyphonica was bad... this took it to whole new levels O_o
then who cares? at least one episode looked this awesome, which is more than most anime can say... i'd keep watching if there's other reasons to keep watching.. i wouldn't even expect the whole seriies to look as good as a theatrical release, anyways... this should all work out even better for someone who isn't expecting more from it than they know they should be
