The concluding episode of moe-guro combination anime Gokukoku no Brynhildr has aired, ending its TV-run on a relatively positive note if at the expense of bloody notoriety – and whether or not the anime lives up to legacy of the author’s previous “magnum opus” Elfen Lied looks likely to be the subject of some debate.

Useless shit male protag needs to be horribly killed by Scorpion's MKX fatality.
Useless?
Ending was rushed.. According to those that read the manga it explained how Hatsuna regenerated because she did not melt from being ejected so her ability regenerated her. She than saved Kazumi.
But this ending was just horribly done rushed in single episode so nothing made any sense.
Good thing I dropped it halfway after I started to read the manga.
Just looking at the screen shots, that's rushed too much.
Yeah the story on this episode for the ending was terribly rushed
they should have ended teh series with a cliffhanger
then in BDs release a final episode ova.
I would actually buy the BDs then.
I might still buy them if they really re-work artwork quality and not just update it.
Some eps were horribly done.
Indeed
Of course the anime is messy, what else would people expect from an adaptation of close to 100 manga chapters to 13 episodes, when the norm nowadays is 1.5-2 chapters per ep.
Best ending would've been the boring crappy male MC and other dude are the ones who died instead.
It's like you just want to watch a lesbian porn.
This show was a fucking disaster.
I can't believe how many people are still raving about it like: "Oh Lynn Okamoto wrote it so it must be good!" "The manga is so awesome!"
That doesn't change the fact that this was a horribly adapted and completely misdirected pile of feces.
If only this anime never had a shitty male MC or other dudes from the very beginning, it would've been so much better.
the MC in elfen lied was also kinda shitty and a wimp and in the manga of this pretty sure is the same i don't quite like these kinda of manga/anime that the male characters are total pussy and that the females ones are the total dominant ones uber powerful for nothing like do they even explain way are their only females with super power and way not males as well or is just for the fanservice ?
Agreed anon 7:07. The MC wasn't a pussy and put his life on the line several times. That's not a wimp. Idiots are blatantly lying about the MC but I am guessing they equate not doing anything to the girls in a perverted manner is their delusional problem.
True the adaption wasn't good with it being rushed and skipped many of the manga chapters and it really deserved a 2 cour instead of what we got. Too bad too, I really liked the characters except Kotori. She didn't stand out much.
Have you even watched this anime? He wasn't a pussy.
I didn't find the MC to be shitty in this one. Was really competent, brave and gifted with photographic memory.
Agreed. He was a good dude, too.
That's good to hear then
100+che in Just 13 episode. What did People expect? ?
I agree. The show was poorly adapted. No helping it. What I'm sick of is the 13 episode format for adaptations of manga more than 2-3 volumes long. A standard anime should be 24 episodes. And if it isn't popular don't adapt more. 24 episodes gives time for a series to properly flesh out.
Did you read that manga? Don't blame adaptation here, it's pretty accurate. This... thing is bad from begin with.
I had high hopes because who it was by, but they were quickly dashed. However, if I watch more than two episodes of a show I have to watch the rest of it, and all I can say is I'm glad this pile of garbage is over.
Nothing worse than a show where the characters are constantly speaking in exposition. Or, almost as bad, when the writers try too hard with the tragic scenes but because you couldn't care less about any of the poorly fleshed out and generic characters you just couldn't be bothered by any of it.
Just like Elfen Lied according to some people. And just like many other shows, according to yet some.
'Read the manga' seems to be the rule rather than the exception. So many shows seemed rushed or divert from the original plot entirely for no good reason.
KIMOCHI II ZE
Totally short for cover more of 70 caps of the manga. And the only good thing here is to the MC prota is not a gae pathetic like rito or other assholes MCs.
13 episodes for any given adaptation of 2-3 volumes long or more is a shit decision. I keep saying, the standard needs to be 24 episodes unless the original source material is really short. I keep saying this over and over again. 24 episodes should be standard testing grounds for a series not 13.

"I have to go now. My planet needs me."
I had such high hopes in the early episodes, because it seemed so faithful to the manga (and I prefer the anime character designs). However, the ending makes it obvious how much had to be thrown out for an ongoing series of 9 volumes and over 106 chapters, to fit a 13 episode season. We missed the epic, citywide destruction wrought by Valkyria and during her battle with Kuroneko. We missed the survivors dealing with the aftermath of their city being destroyed and Kuroneko's complete loss of memory months later. Why is Murakami attempting to stab Kuroneko to death at the opening of the manga? The anime will never tell us.
Where all the guro at?
Japs will be angry
They're always angry. This shit just gives them a subject to vent upon.
Just like you.
Should have added an extra episode to end this
TSUU EKKUSUTORA
Kuroneko's ultimate power is micro-plot holes.
Murakami kick was worth it though.
Jappy love guro.
Guro is ancient mandatory tradition in Japan.
Just like raep and suicide.
Umad?
ra-tata-tam.
i rather not want to live up to any legacy Elfen Lied
was so f**up in so many ways way to serios imo from what i understand this is more tame then EL which this is good in my book btw what is with japs and guro ?
