The series is very funny because of the villain, the penguin emperor actually is the hero of the series. The penguins care for citizens and city safety and when they are on their own the only thing they do is advertising for penguin emperor. The emperors is also really kind with his citizens and speaks about how labor rights! And humans in return...are actually evil.
I also checked the manga. Actually the anime is better than manga in terms of jokes.
Some of the joke even doesn't exist in manga like the "vacuum cleaner" joke (in the manga ritz doesn't read from a vacuum cleaner manual and actually is saying "oh inside my vagina the dick is big " vol 1 p111)
and some of jokes being a mere sexual act "like when ritz masterbate for penguins (vol 1 p89) " is omitted for better in the anime. Another one is penguin front tail dance which is very brief in the manga while it is quite funny in anime.
In overall anime is better than manga.
It is to note that anime is based on 4 volume manga.
The new manga spin off which Is called ogs "orgasm?" Is not related to this anime and is somehow more creepy than anime and original manga.

Well for the most part in anime its girls with massive tits for most fanservice shows. So perhaps they like the best of both worlds.
Nevermind massive tits or patenko, it's usually girls 16 or younger. Even when they say they're 16 they're usually drawn much younger than their age. There's hardly ever sexy women, and when there are they're obscure side characters.
exactly why I cant stand the vast majority of new anime these days. I have no problem with nudity. Of any kind or age. As long as it makes sense with the plot or story. I don't even mind it if its done PURELY for fan service, if the character depicted is of a respectable age. But when its just little girls its disgusting. That's all anime is anymore these days: Massively disproportionate older women, or sexualized schoolgirls. Frankly its disgusting. Nothing but fanservice shows, with no plot that doesn't somehow support MORE fanservice.
What happened to the days where shows used fanservice to tastefully add a mild aspect of interest to an already really good story, instead of a terribly conceived garbage plot that wouldn't have any interest without constant upskirt shots and flashes of tiny or insanely large tits?
