The arrival of apparition anime Bakemonogatari 2‘s 3rd BD has brought a generous upgrade to the anime’s previously low-grade visuals while making sure to capture the loveliness of its many charming bishoujo – and with a surprisingly minimal amount of shafting present, as the expected exhaustive comparisons demonstrate.
Images on the left showcase the BD version in its usual glory, while those on the right depict the less wallet-straining TV version:

What exactly does "shafted" means?
Shaft is a company that makes anime, and they made this anime too. They release Blu-ray releases of this popular anime, and when they do, it usually has TONS of changes. Not the usual drawing fixes or slight shading fixes or higher quality. I mean, they change a TON of scenes.. So I think due to how much they change it, they call it being "Shafted". Since the company is "Shaft".
If I'm wrong, Anyone, plz correct me. and call me nubnub.
Actually, it's in reference to distinct yet familiar scenes you will notice when you watch any of their anime. Watch Bakemonogatari, and then watch Nisekoi. Then you'll see what I'm talking about.
Fans use the word however they like, but in this article, it's talking about the "shift" from TV to BD, and how scenes change so much, sometimes feeling completely different. It happens in every one of their shows nowadays.
The term can also sometimes refer to their style of art and animation, where they tend to create space in an abstract dimension throughout their shows. It's not just Bakemonogatari and Nisekoi. It happens in everything they make now, and it's so iconic that viewers tend to think they all look the same. I personally think it's their greatest and worst aspect. They can do a lot of great stuff with this style when they utilize it consciously, but then they sometimes don't do much with it and it just ends up feeling boring and lifeless... Madoka and Bakemonogatari are good examples of the former, while Mekakucity Actors is a sad example of the latter. Nisekoi is filled with symbolism, too, but apart from direct symbolism, it's pretty much the latter as well.
But is it used for two separate animes by Shaft? Or did you mention 2 separate animes just to give an example? I know they're prettys imilar in facial expressions or something like that, but also the "Head tilt" thing. "Shafted" is a word used for Different scenes that are Similar in Any of their animes...? I thought it was for the difference between the TV version of an anime and the BD/DVD release change. Like "Shafted" being how Shaft changes a lot of things on the releases of the BD. thus, "Shafted".. Idk, I needz 2 know exactly what Shafted means too. I still didn't get it clearly from what you said.
I see. So even shaft doesn't give a single fuck anymore.
Uho.
No complains about getting out the useless male MC this time? There's some progress!
How is araragi useless. Compared to most harem mcs he can actually be interesting and funny..
This series has WAY more plot than fanservice so people know how to draw the line. Most of the stuff you say that for is trash anyway - especially when it comes to plot.
Nyeds more Black Hanekanya.
And not a single fuck was given that day.
well, maybe one, but no one listens to that guy...
