Hatsune Miku has recently “starred” alongside R&B artist Pharrell Williams in a new music video, marking Miku’s latest mainstream US triumph – and serving as yet another stepping stone in the virtual diva’s quest for world domination.
The music video showcases Miku, Pharrel Williams and Livetune dancing to a remixed version of “Last Night, Good Night” (originally composed by Livetune) as illustrated by contemporary artist Takashi Murakami.

While not the first instance of Miku appearing with mere humans, an appearance with a top tier US R&B artist is likely an important first, more so with her impending collaboration with reigning queen of US pop Lady Gaga.

Regardless, Hatsune Miku with peek-a-boo bangs is hella cute.
If anyone knows of a remix of something that is worth a damn, please let me know. I've yet to be introduced to one. And not a 'new artist rendition of an old song' but a real remix. This is probably the only one I've heard that adds something to the original in an interesting way recently.

uhhh, pretty much every major song in the past 40 years has been in some regards a remix of something else. Go watch "Everything is a Remix".
Though you probably don't listen to much electronic music or Hip Hop, which are entirely based on the act of remixing. When a Electronic track is released, it's generally released with 2-5 remixes, which generally add too/eclipse the original.

Try the album Unhappy Refrain. It's a Vocaloid album centred round Miku, and I actually prefer the remixed versions to the original.

Really liked the model and dancing, but I honestly didn't like the remix. It just didn't mix very well with the song, maybe he should have picked a less somber song than last night, good night

It's a okay song, but not among the best IMO. Its the kind of song thats a lot more likeable if you're already a Miku fan,
That said, I was kind of disappointed in the remix. I dont think it fits the video. I saw some gifs of the video first and was expected something really fast-paced and techno. Kind of an odd choice of song to remix like this too. But it's a really nice video, and I love the way Miku looks in it.

Blech, the original is such a beautiful song, the remix on the other hand is pure crap. The mood of the song is destroyed and because of that Miku's vocals seem completely out of place.

Well musical tastes vary, and it's not like all vocaloid songs sound good. Most probably don't to most people. Even I only like a few out of the countless number that exist.
Agreed. The original song was serene and flowed elegantly. The remix seems to be intended to have a very "chilled out" vibe, but it just didn't really work in my opinion. Came out just a messy mix of a conflicting melody and beat, with vocals that just come across as squeaky and out of place.

I hate Miku with a passion. Her vocals are screechy and impossible to understand, and the beats used with her are usually super happy fun time Japanese pop beats that make me want to puke. That being said, she's actually used really well in this one. No idea who Pharell Williams is, but I only really listen to hard rock radio.
