Well, to answer that. If the male protagonist happens to be strong physically and/or mentally, then chances are he'll be able avoid situations that could lead him to harm. But if he lacks those qualities, then he'll most likely get the shit knocked out him left and right by almost everyone he encounters or just die. Plus to add to that, it's usually the weak male MC that gets dominated by women or gets his head stomp in by other men stronger than him and he remains weak throughout the rest of the series without any form of development. That's not the case if all of them but you can get what I'm saying.
I don't need more characters with less personality than cardboard thanks.
This is why shows like Akuma no Riddle, Love Live, and Gochuumon Usagi are so much better. No weak pathetic male MC is getting in their way of making their shows great.
Some shows don't have weak pathetic male MC's, but it seems as if the amount of weak male MC's in anime made u quit watching anime with Male MC's imo, and you only watch anime with female MC's.
It appears Japanese men have some sort of fetish with being beaten to a pulp and humiliated by superior, short tempered females because that's what you get to see in every fucking show *sigh*

idk why nowadays most male MCs are spineless and cant even show authority over other female characters. even strong male characters gets hit everytime by the girls... heck, at least dodge or deflect the hit

Maybe because it's a funny anime and not a serious one? It's not like the MC is really hurt by them, he has no wounds or anything.
But 99% of animes are stupid or unintesting anyway (a little less with mangas but it's still high).
Interestingly, Aito may be the only alpha masochist in the whole industry. He asks nthe girls to do things that excite him, the girls attack him and he gets excited. Happy ending!
