One-time scandal seiyuu Aya Hirano has finally shed the trappings of her stint as top seiyuu and idol completely, netting herself her first starring role at the prestigious Imperial Theatre and changing her class description to “former seiyuu.”
The level 26 actress is playing the young princess Elizabeth in an ongoing production of the musical “Lady Beth” on show at the Imperial Theatre in Tokyo, a lead role which she joyfully describes as leaving her “full of unbelievable sensations.”
Such media reports as there are now describe her as “former seiyuu,” suggesting that part of her career is finally done with.

I just watched the final (until July) episode of SPACE DANDY and was pleased to hear Aya Hirano as "Coffee-Maker", so I suppose she's not completely out of the seiyuu game quite yet, although I suppose she probably recorded that a few months ago.

Completely wrong. She was near the top of the cast list in the first episode of Lady Jewelpet, and as far as I know is in the new season of Fairy Tail. That makes her a current seiyuu. Enough of this stupidity, Sankaku. Oh well, at least I get some news of her, as long as I can re-interpret it properly.
The related articles inform me that Sankaku Complex reported the end of her career LAST year. And three years ago. And four years ago. One of these years they'll have to be right, right? Considering the last season of Fairy Tail ran three and a half years and she has multiple other series with confirmed sequels, this is not that year.
