I thought so too. Seemed kinda blurry somehow.
In some of the screens above it looks like the blurriness might be a deliberate perspective effect or something.
The episode was rushed and lacked staff working on it, On top on that it is also a non-canon/filler episode (at least the second half of the episode was)
The quality will improve for episode 2 and beyond according to the per-screening that was done in Japan.
The only bad thing i have to say about this anime... is the main character. Just look at the posters, he looks so out of place as the only man in there.
