The highly anticipated Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei anime has so far failed to disappoint with its debut episode, possessing a wealth of moe schoolgirls and blatant romantic overtones – with the occasional magical combat sequence to keep things from getting too Type B…

MIRACLE!!!! the M prota dont run, dont cry, dont spend lots of blood from his noise, dont flushed, ……..is imposibleeeeee!!!!! is the end of the world!!!!
It is.
This story is anything but B type. It’s very A type. Has the guy who wrote this article seen the source material?
The light novels were fun until it became apparent that the MC just steamrolls just about all of his opponents. There was never sense of danger and risks. Which became quite dull.
Also, pretty much all the Korean and Chinese characters in the story are evil. So yeah… It’s from one of those authors.
it’s strange….i remember that Sun Meilin is explicitely descripted as a good person.
The chinese troops are descripted as militarys doing their jobs in times of war, in the same fashion as japan’s “jsdf” and usna’s “stars”. They are as merciless and underhanded as each other.
Zhou, Saegusa Koichi,Yotsuba Maya, Raymond Sage Clark and Kudou Retsu can all be seen as people ploting behind the scenes…so it’s more like there more “evil” people in japan than in other places.
Plus, in vol 11 it’s said they will use the momentum of yokohama incident to press foward, sending Itsuwa Mio to the fronts. It’s not like japan is a “pacefull country that don’t agress anyone” there.
Not really. I’m Chinese(Hongkonger), and I didn’t get that nationalism vibe at all while reading the novels. People just assume offense way too quickly.
There is no “evil” in this story. Just people with interests. And I disagree about there not being tension, because the tension comes from the MC himself, and part of the fun is seeing how the world reacts to and deals with his existence.
