Anime fans have yet again been quizzed as to who their most beloved seiyuu of the moment are, leading to some rather unsurprising results, be it by their recurrent and widespread talent or recent association with a work of overpowering popularity – and not much in the way of newcomers, age and marital status evidently having not been too much of a problem of late.
The ranking, based on a survey of several thousand anime fans, handily divides the results by gender:

Guess I’m in the very very small minority that still thinks Aya Hirano’s voice is up there. Could care less about her background, her voice is great.

waitaminit,is Yui Ogura a different person or seiyuu, because the one i remember is also the same name as a former gravure idol or is it the other way around?
Of female seiyuus 9 are my personal favourites, only Nao Tooyama has moved herself below my radar. But she has done many roles so she must be really worth to be included in this list, which looks sensible for once.
I miss Takehito Koyasu from male seiyuus, others are OK.
I would have included Kappei Yamaguchi too…
