Nipple fetish? Nipples are just naturally a part of boobs, whither you see them or not they are there and they are a part of them. Sometimes they're at least hinted at but otherwise you can just imagine they're there. Seeing nipples factors into the anticipation of seeing an entirely naked breast. It's pointless to say "nipple fetish", because the only exceptions to the rule are people with doll anatomy fetishes.
I hate thinking of things as "fetishes," but if it came down to it, I would choose "Doll Anatomy Fetish" over all others.
This way there is Nothing to censor, no pixelating, no beams of light, or no bath fogs. Plus, it sensitive to look at body with it this style because there is nothing there un-sensitive.

It's sad, isn't it? It's like someone's making everyone hold back more and more every year. In fact, it's gotten pretty lukewarm and boring for ecchi anime.
I'm waiting for a queen's blade or ikkitousen to come out and show everyone that ecchi can actually show something and be profitable again. >_>
What about Maken-ki, Freezing, Highschool DxD, etc...? It's only dying on how acceptably it is treated in Japan. Cutey Honey used to air on TV during the same time slot Sailor Moon would. Today it would only air after midnight with heavy censorship and force viewers to wait for BD relases, like all the other ecchi anime does.
Freezing Vibration had very little ecchi in it for something that was supposed to be an ecchi anime. Like, outside of that one girl swimming naked every once in a while and the E-pandoras having outfits that covered a little more than a bikini, there wasn't much else. I had to watch it for the story instead of the small scraps of ecchi they'd put in here and there.
Maken-ki 2 had little ecchi throughout the season. Some episodes were pretty much ecchi-less (catgirl episode).
DxD had very little ecchi, as well (like the writers weren't going to try to combine story with ecchi or something), then tried to make up for it with an ecchi episode (pool episode). Still, this was the most ecchi out of recent anime.
Ecchi was better when it tried to have as much ecchi as it could every episode, so again, like queen's blade or ikkitousen or Najicaa Blitz Tactics.
As an ecchi fan, I can definitely see a decline in ecchi anime.
Also, don't forget that wrestling anime that was supposed to be ecchi that had no ecchi in it. It was just girls in skimpy outfits that wrestled, but that isn't really ecchi.
We also can't forget about how recently, a lot of seasons have gone completely ecchiless. Like, the recent small influx of anime that call themselves ecchi but have little of it (like a comedy anime that has little comedy) is a new development, but they haven't really been that impressive or tried to be compared to the ecchi classics and I certainly do miss those. :/
I thought the studio that was going to make great ecchi was the one behind Seiken no Qwaser, and then they made that weird manyuu show and disappeared after nobody really wanted to watch it.
The manga has alot more nudity for freezing than the anime does. At least for the vibration arc. I blame it on how japan is seemingly cracking down on every little thing lately that the makers of this anime are getting scared to push the boundrys in fear their product might be forced off the air. I never understood japan's censorship laws, why produce porn of your going to censor it so badly? I mean the entire point is to see stuff like that, so censoring it kinda defeats the purpose. Also, all hentai/porn etc in japan is made uncensored first, the censoring is added in after its been recorded, So they all have the orignal uncensored film in their vaults, that just can't release it due to the draconian japanese law on that stuff.

That IS what people should be focusing on in anime "The Characters and the Story," not nipples and hentai and stuff.
Also my real reason I mostly prefer no-nipples in anime, is so that there will be no reason be focusing on the body as much. As you can see other people know only focus on boobs and nipples both. That's what the creators give them. But if use the no-nipples doll anatomy censorship, people could finally look away from erotic points and start focusing on the right "The Character, Character's Story, and The Main Story of the Anime."
