Kantai Collection Anime Unveiled

The first glimpse of Kantai Collection‘s much anticipated anime adaptation has sailed into view in the form of character designs for three ships – bearing a suspiciously if not promisingly close resemblance to the style which propelled another mecha-musume anime to victory.
The bombardment of interest in these designs immediately sunk the show’s site, but the images fortunately surfaced amongst the flotsam:

Pd: I prefer the ships of Ars Nova.
I aproved this, Girls Und Panzer having his moe things and other regular things, but have good decent fights and other simple strategys, i expect to this anime have that things and dont be another SUPER SONICO bored shitt, or a simple HOUKAGO NAVAL SHIITt full of moes taking tea partys aboard.
Pd: Kongou raped all the ships of Kantai man, specially the Kongou Deathstar from the last episodes of Ars.

I never thought that my interest in Naval history would ever help me in this way. Rule 34 at it's best considering the massive amounts of doujinshi that we've already seen generated from KanColle.
I hope there is some good guro in this series. I want to see these ships blowing up each other with limbs and stuff hanging off. It would only make sense.
But if a ship is hit, it doesn't get torn "limb from limb" like a human, it takes a hell of a lot of hits. And shouldn't they be swimming around in the ocean constantly if they're gonna be that accurate?
You are right in that sense. Its just that when you get into naval combat which is very real, I would love to see it translated into something horrific for these cute (ships).
If its magic and stuff like strike witches I don't give a damn. This could be a poingnent way to teach a version of history. I hope the girls really act like the ships they represent.
Actually I prefer Russian kids fucking. Their white skin let's you see elbow and knee bruises better.

In an interview with the producer earlier this year, it is confirmed that the entire anime will be told in the perspective of Fubuki herself.
It will be Admiral or Admiral-san like Producer-san in iDOLM@STER.

What gave you any indication that the show will only feature these girls? Don't jump the gun.
Come on, Kongou and Shimakaze don't represent the whole thing. Yes, they constantly rank among the most liked but Akagi and Kaga are both good enough to represent Kan Colle i think.
I'll give you Akagi, Tatsuta and Tenryuu (though more Tenryuu), but two of the three of those girls up there are kind of just boring.
I don't care the slightest bit about the game itself, but KAGA IS MOE.

this would have happened to touhou long ago if zun had allowed it. alas its not to be. perhaps for the better. touhou propagated as strongly as it did in my opinion because at its core, it lacked enough substance for fans to inject their own personalities into the characters. completely unimportant characters like daiyousei and even made up characters be hakurei miko can happen because of the lack of a strong central lore.
maybe this is the best successful example of the silent protagonist trope of the jrpgs. have an empty character and the fans will fill out enough details to love.
I wonder if Shimakaze's design alone will change the rating of this anime.

Read the official Kantai Collection Manga Books, it is basicly Strike Witches 2.
Prepare for the most generic cash in. There's going to be no soul in this show. It'll be pure moe trash and people will gobble this garbage up.
Or... They will actually make a heartbreaking story with all sunk IRL ships really sunk. Yes, Shimakaze too, there's no place for thong-clad lolis on war.
Considering how many Japanese ships USA and Russia sunk in WW2, this can turn out to be very, very gory.
And most of the pilots depicted in Strike Witches were killed in the war. Didn't happen in the show. Don't hold your breath.
you don't watch anime if you want good story
It's true.. if I want a good Japanese story I watch their classic movies. Ozu, Kurosawa, etc. Anime is just fun.
