SAO II “Airs July”

The second season of Sword Art Online has been confirmed as airing in July, finally introducing fans to the Phantom Bullet arc and the world of Gun Gale Online.
SAO II will cover volumes 5 and 6 of the original light novel (now at over 11 million copies sold) – the “Phantom Bullet” arc – which unlike the previous two fantasy-based arcs promises some heavy gunplay action via GGO, and an entirely new protagonist joining Kirito (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro), all of which seems to have fan anticipation at a fever-pitch.

Not massively, i thought they left the first season just fine, anything else will just end up diluting the experience of the first IMO, but i end up saying that about a lot of animes that end up having a second season forced out and most of them very rarely deserve it, there are a few exceptions and i will still end up watching this but i'm not going in to it expecting the same level of feels as the first

They add 1 new character, the blue haired one (Sinon). Kirito is the black haired "Girl". Looks like a girl but ish a guy.
It might be considered a bit of a SPOILER so tread carefully I suppose:
The black-haired 'girl' in the first picture is Kirito. His character looks extremely feminine in this game.
Kirito has a new avatar, a very feminie looking male avatar. He also doesn't use guns. He literally brings a knife to a gun fight.
But this sword literally have properties of a lightsaber. He's a Jedi!

Well, first of all, the 2nd season isn't even out. What you're talking about is the second ARC. secondly, Whether they made mistakes on the 2nd arc or not, You're most likely talking about how you didn't like the plot or how they displayed this arc etc. That's your own opinion, and opinions don't make something right or wrong/a mistake, You're own opinions aren't always right. If it was like accidentally making an eye big or drawing badly, those don't really matter.
Never bothered to get into SAO. It comes off as a poor-mans moe version of Dot Hack.
well i really liked the idea of the story behind, the first 14 ep were really fantastic good, better than most survival pseudo realistic story, but after that it felt like... i dont know a mix out of wannabe continue, half try of romantic shit with familylove and half try to make it serious, while it ended with real stupid shit
the most thing i really cant believe about that whole story, 30k people died in a video game, and no one cares, no we make another game like that and all people join like nothing happened, awesome.
About 4k ppl died in the 1st game, People Did care though, and they joined the 2nd game cuz the 1st game's problems were taken care of so something like that doesn't happen again, Plus the 2nd game had a log out option which would've made players feel safer about the game.

The original premise was good, the execution and second arc were not quite up to par though
.hack and SAO came out almost at the same time in their original form though i do have to admit the anime made SAO a little too moe compared to LN
Log Horizon has more depth than SAO, but I liked SAO's artwork better. To each their own.

Sword Art Online series is more about playing the game such as doing quests, leveling up, participating events, etc. Also, individual's story.
Log Horizon series is more about the game's environment and background, such as the history of the game (the world itself) including the NPCs as well. Oh yeah, food was also included. They also have explanation about items, equipments, maps and locations. It is also about survivability in that world.
Also, Log Horizon is more deserted by the outside world than Sword Art Online, and more realistic to the real world (as I mentioned above, survivability). Sword Art Online still stick to the game realism. An example is portal and floor level.
