With the winter anime season briskly approaching its end, both male and female fans have been surveyed as to which are so far worth watching, with males at least smitten by the latest of KyoAni’s offerings.

That's what I was thinking. It's like a fake survey.
Seeing as Witch Craft Works is topping the sales charts, but here it's ranking at the bottom, I'd say yeah, this is fake.
Mikakunin topped a nico interest-gauging poll (sm22700298) at the start of the season, so it's very strange that it's nowhere to be seen. What, do Mashiro and her loli hag mother need to be even cuter?

Ah, this is the top 10 anime of winter 2014.. as voted by young teens (and probably in Japan). I knew it couldn't be males in general, because I don't know anyone watching most of the male picks. For the most part they're only watching KlK.
Just like what happened with Attack on Titan. There's always just one anime being talked about or none at all.

I'm so disappointed with the Sonico anime. I hope they don't make a vocaloid anime.
the real question to the vocaloid anime is to whether or not hire saki fujita to voice & sing miku's lines like in miss monochrome or use the vocaloid program.
Yet we all know that if it were Hatsune Miku with her own anime, she'd be #1 for both lists.
They needed a competent studio to make it. KyoAni is the only one who would do a Vocaloid anime justice.
Miku already have her own game with herr name as the title instead of Vocaloid. Miku need no anime.
no way, if sonico did this mediocre then vocaloid would do just as bad. Its plot (not PLOT) is just so boring and dry even for a slice of life anime.

IN MY HEART
For a Slice of Life, it's just totally boring.
It's no Azumanga but I'd still watch it over lucky star. I guess Sonico just isn't moe enough for people like the girls in those SoLs.
I just watch it to see sonico in motion, lol. I'm not gonna say it's a great anime but it's good for that reason at least.
I just think that they don't try to make it an interesting anime, more like they just need an anime involving sonico to exist (I think she's some kind of mascot for a company or something, never bothered to look it up).
Even Lucky Star is not even as boring as this.
It usually does depend on how moe it is. If there aren't otaku building a shrine to one of the precious girls in an SoL, then it has failed.
A SoL, doesn't need "Moe characters" to be successful, but Sonico didn't offer anything good to the table.
Sonico herself is not the problem, but the things around her. Almost everything in the anime feels Half-assed and there's no real direction of the story.
I watch 8 of those animes from General and Female rankings, and 9 from the male.

What kinda show is "Noragami"!?
Basically it's another of those Strike the Blood/Kyoukai no Kanata/etc shows about a guy and girl in a supernatural shounen show, except this time the guy's the one with some personality and the girl is the mostly-nebulous everyperson.

You can tell that the male votes strongly influenced the General ranking, which suggests that a lot less females voted in this poll. Kill La Kill for example is nowhere to be seen on this poll yet its ranking 4th overall. There's many more examples. This poll can't be used to accurately reflect a females taste in anime.
The girls/women I know don't care much for KlK. It's pretty much a guy's show, after all. Maybe it's different in Japan?
Sankaku polls are never accurate or even worth analyzing in the slightest, they're just data taken from one Japanese site that only represents one small group of anime enthusiasts in Japan.
