Revered American talk show host Conan O’Brien has recently made a fleeting if rather surprising reference to raunchy wrestling anime Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai, in an “extended” parody based on Bob Dylan’s Superbowl ad for Chrysler.

With the anime in question being itself a parody of American-style diva wrestling its status as animated torture porn is perhaps even more ironic than intended.
With poor Tsukiko also recently getting her prime-time debut there is likely some question as to whether Google Images and YouTube are solely to blame, or if instead their research staff harbour a few late night anime fans as well…

Hmm, personally I think it creates unwanted attention and promotes more stereotypes. I mean, if that is seen by someone who has no idea about hentai, when they meet someone who likes hentai or even anime in general they might assume they like “animated torture porn” :/ But I admit, the majority of hentai is pretty much torture porn… but not all hentai fans watch those ones…
