Taking advantage of the utterly colossal popularity of Shingeki no Kyojin, automobile manufacturer Subaru has released a commercial for its Subaru Forester which unsubtly demonstrates its capabilities by having it outrun attacking titans, providing what is thought to be the first glimpse of the live action edition.
Although not the first time Subaru has used anime to drum up car sales, it is a fairly unusual choice of genre – though it probably owes more to manga being adapted into a live action movie than its extreme popularity as an anime.

I think what would make or break a movie is how they do the effects on the maneuver gear and how the people look using it.

From seeing the first trailer ever before the series aired, it reminded me alot of spiderman. If they can manage that, they will do great. The question is, will they give us what we already know as far as the series has or give us an actual beginning with how the gear was made, the wall being created for the first time and the struggle they went thru that eventually pushed for the great walls to be built?

Oh please. Only the last titan looks good, the others are in desperate need of dynamic lighting adjustments. All I see is cheap CGI greyed out because the average hack creating it only knows how to make shit glossy or grey. Like creating realistic CGI with dark highlights is that difficult.
I wouldn't even call the first 2 CG... More like some random shmucks with makeup and really bad acting... But the last one was impressive.... :D

What's more funny is that car sales in Japan are stagnant, this commercial probably cost more than the sales it'll bring in.
Sales are in the shitter because the manufacturers, government and insurance companies have conspired with each other to make owning any kind of vehicle a bottomless money pit. Instead of stimulating new vehicle sales, they've pushed people toward alternate forms of transport or public transport.

You only need to baby your turbo if you are really driving it hard. Normal driving these turbos don't need any of that treatment. It was true for cars back in the 1980s but oil tech and water cooled turbos improved quite a bit in the last 30 years.

You obviously know JACKSHIT about Subaru. The WRX uses a Mitsubishi water cooled turbo, not an oil cooled turbo. Because of this you do NOT need to wait 40 seconds, after a hard run before shutting it off.
And the cost of premium gas is really now that much more, when you begin to figure in how much you are already spending, at the pump. An extra 30cents per gallon is only 3bucks more per 10 gallons and the tank is 15 gallons. So if you were bone dry, you're looking at $4.50 more for 15 gallons of gas. That's practically the cost of a gallon of gas now!

I've been a member of asiandvdclub for nearly 8 years, in that time I've literally watched thousands of Asian films and Japanese films are the drizzling shits. Even the low budget films Thailand puts out are better than your average Japanese film. And for the record, Korea produces the best Asian cinema. u mad?
That's because Japan is incredibly superficial, most of their "talent" is based around pop singers, idols & other people without actual acting experience. It's really just one big popularity contest. And that is why Japanese "actors" suck.

Clerks was shot on a budget of $28,000 & Desperado was shot on a 7 million dollar budget. In fact the prequel to Desperado, El mariachi, was shot on a mere $7000.
Plenty of movies have been shot under constrained budgets. And turned out to be "classics". Movies don't need to be all about especial effects & expensive movie props, the writing, director & actors are what make or break a film.
Start watching Korean cinema, then blame the "budget". The actors & directors are the primary reasons Japanese cinema is shit.
Asian films have a much smaller budget and shorter production time in general.
