The joint powers of these devout German cosplayers has produced a rather stunning Shingeki no Kyojin themed cosplay video, replicating the animation sequence of its second opening in live action (with the added help of some special effects) to an astonishing degree, and earning more than a little respect and envy from Japanese cosplayers and Titan fans.

Well, if it comes to the pictures, it's all ok but the video...
I'm not degrading them or being racist, but with full honesty, the video is, how can I say this, a bit awkward and it destroys the atmosphere. They just don't fit especially the acting. The blood scene, and the look,stare and smile at the end (3:40)left me gasping for air.
I'm not saying that the smile of that person is creepy or ugly...I'm just pointing out the awkwardness. It was done awkwardly. I'm no director but they should have done those things discretely.
Obviously, imitating what anime characters do usually wind up failing. One point, smiling with your eyes closed and your mouth open. Another is intense staring and the sudden look, stare and smile. It is just ughh... if not done correctly.
At one point, I checked for the title if this was a parody of the OP 'cause LOLed and facepalmed all the way.

What is with this style of makeup lately? I've notice that there has been a trend with cosplayers caking on makeup and making themselves look like pasty vampires. Looks really awkward imo. These people gotta work on their makeup skills.

It was true and I give them credit for spending time and energy on it. But it was a bit awkward with all the SUPER INTENSE STARING and the bits where they tried to stay perfectly still as the camera panned.
Would have been better if they added human touches into the acting instead of going for a strict copy of the anime version. Also, the girls cosplaying guys need to learn how to stand like a guy, no guys stands with their knees together unless they're crossplaying or about to be punched in the nuts.
