Finally: TERA Gets Goth Loli & Pantsu

Top moe MMORPG Tera is still going strong and finally receiving what looks to be a dedicated goth loli class in the form of the “Soul Reaper” – replete with drills, headwings and various other essentials – as well as “wamono” Japanese outfits and – perhaps most importantly of all given the game’s discerning clientèle – an “underwear” slot.
Soul reaper-chan’s trailer and related announcements:
For Japan at least, “ninja avatars,” Soul Reapers and pantsu are due in January, February and March respectively.
A variety of additional instanced dungeons and raids are also incoming to provide more venues for admiring the game’s fine costumes.
To address the fact Japanese players were apparently too busy ogling the Elin to bother killing one another (or perhaps that their numbers are dwindling precipitously), all Japanese servers are being merged into one PvE-only server, although other regions seem to be spared this.
No word on what DLC wonders are planned for the introduction of the pantsu slot has yet surfaced, but certain additions seem inevitable given what is already available…

Cash shop items are not censored. There are some changes sometimes. Like the bunny girl outfits needed to be changed because of.... playboy.
Too bad their cash shops are crap, and if you attempt to buy anything with other than direct credit card, i.e paypal, they will rip you off, take your money, and you get nothing you paid for.
And if you dare to question them about it, they will ban your account from their in-game store, and if you chargeback for stuff you haven't received for weeks, they will start sending you spam mail saying "you can pay us 10$ for unbanning you from our store, and 10$ for stuff you wanted"

Not true, i've bought lots of cash shop costumes for my elins with prepaid credit cards. Never had a problem.
The only thing that sucks is how the maid outfit bundle is somehow $50... and being a sucker for my Elin, I bought it.

Highly doubtful. The game has not been censored since the release of it, aside from the previously mentioned bunny costume because the original was too close to Playboy.
This will get released uncensored if ALL of the previous updates since the game has been released are anything to go by.

Well, yes, the release of the game censored all the elin outfits, the release, the game was released in america with a fair portion of the game's content, this meant that all the vanilla armors would've been censored, and hell, they didn't even really do much to stop people from uncensoring it, all you literally have to do is just drag and drop some model and texture files into the game files and bam, back to normal, they just did it because they knew outside people looking at the game would obviously think it perverted and morally reprehensible to have such young looking girls to be wearing such revealing outfits, I guarentee you En Masse knew that one of the only reasons TERA is nearly as popular as it is is because Elins exist.
And? They still censored them.
Even by playing the game you're supporting the removal of lolis from any kind of media, ever.
They censored the Kastanics and Elves as well, mind you. There it's just not quite as noticable. Having digged into the files, it's mostly nipples almost showing which was replaced by black shadows and shit. The race hit hardest by censorship was still the Elin though.
Yet USA is the home to a disgusting show called "Little tiaras" or something...
If the players would have stood up instead of being religious biggots the game would have reversed censor by now. Sad thing the regular armors in the game en-masse doesn't want anyone to see. But for 20 bucks u can purchase the armors they don't want to see. It's bullshit. U can have maid panties and pirate panties, but u can't have panties with the default armor in the game.

It's a fun game. It's just a victim of the cycle of "super-hype WoW killer!" before release going to "this isn't the messiah I expected! that other MMORPG that comes out next week is the true WoW killer!" that every MMORPG has to go through. I haven't played it in a while myself, but I might go back when this is released.
There is no wow-killer. Wow is reference because it's a main-stream known game around average gamers. It's just a hype reference used by game companies in order to garner gamers into investing money and time into a game. They know majority of gamers are fickled and stupid idiots, so tricks like that are used. Unfortunately they work.
WoW is going to kill itself actually. In about a decade They are ending the game. It was either 2024 or 2025 that Blizzard mentioned.
As for Tera? I waited 4 Years, Yes... 4 YEARS after I saw a video showcasing gameplay. It came out around my birthday and a friend and I went out to buy it and spent a few hours having a little party online. Back then it was like 50 or 60 bucks for the game.
Year later it went free to play (Or Free to Pay as some might call it) Reapers have been out since May or maybe it was the tail end of April this year I can't remember. They require a lvl 40 on the server you use to make it on. By the time they finish their starting zone they are 58. Fun as hell to play.
The race restriction is based on lore not devs not wanting to take the time :)
Sit back and Enjoy Tera as much as you can, and see how long it takes the NA version of Blade & Soul to come out :3 not the crappy partially english patched Asian version but a full NA version.

Why is there even an article on this? Tera Online lost all kinds of relevance after whatever company brought it to the west censored the hell out of elin's armor.
It was En-Masse and Frogster that did it, in additional to the stupidity of moralwatchdogs from "gamers" themselves who've never seen a penis before in their retarded lives in all their hypocrisy. After havin a shoutin match with En-Masse I dumped the western version of the game and got the authentic japanese one.
I hate how the west takes games like this and selectively censor. The GAME companies are doing this and it's killing the freedom of artwork over-all. En-Masse did it cus they were afraid of getting 'sued' by the american public and their own religion shoved into the game. Honestly i've seen other games released in NA with the same thing. En-Masse's excuse was that it wouldn't "sell enough". Go figure, so they wrecked the game for mainstream bums and tried to turn it into a WoW number sucess. All what was done was scrubs invited from WoW with their hate towards japanese or korean art culture .

Same here. Got the uncensor mods for my fem!Elf and Elin characters, but grew tired of it. This new stuff might help out and get the game get going once again.

Few problems with this game... (1) LOTS of PEDOPHILES play the elin race! this game is the 4CHAN of the MMORPG world (2) This game lags pretty bad even on a decent PC it cant handle more then 80 players in one area it starts to give you skill lag and auto attack issues (3) PvP is NOT balanced at all but most MMO's cant do that anyway =P so aside from all that its not a bad game.. i mean its Free to Play so there you go!

Wasn't entirely their choice. A lot of asian games get censored when being localized. Chinese blade and soul was censored. Hell, even fuckin' pokemon trainer sprites have been censored.

It was their choice. Frogster significantly stated that it wasn't a board or anyone else that force them to censor the game. It was THEMSELVES and they went about it with the b.s. on "PROTECT TEH KIDS" CRAP by blaming the users as potential child molesters. That means YOU, idiot gamer.
I'm pretty sure that the underwear slot has been there for a long time. I has just not been used.
Now, if there is actual equipment for it, I may be interested.

Tera is one game I would love to play more, just never seem to find the time.
