Senran Kagura 2 Announced

The clothes shredding shinobi action of Senran Kagura persists with the announcement of “Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson” for the Nintendo 3DS – with most of the attention focused on its intimately detailed clothing battle damage sysem.
The game is being developed by Tamsoft, the same studio that previously created Senran Kagura Burst, and is evidently not taking any liberties with the long-standing formula that has made the franchise what it is:
The game is slated for release on August 7th in Japan and will also apparently feature two male characters – although whether they will be subjected to the same method of portraying battle damage is currently not known.
Also announced was Dekamori Senran Kagura – of all things, a cooking themed rhythm game for the PSV, due in March – and the as yet undetailed Senran Kagura Estival Versus.

400 x 240 3DS internal pixel render dollars?
That's still 96K USD.. I'd love some of that :)
Technically, the 3DS outputs two views of 400x240 on a display with twice that resolution, with each view going to a separate eye, so the total would be double that were the video in 3D. Unfortunately, the video is not in 3D, nor does it even display anywhere close to 400x240, due to all the horrible compression artifacts. In all, I'd say there's only around ten thousand dollars worth of effective resolution present in that video.

With Nintendo being how they are, I doubt the 3DS version will have a full rip like in Shinovi Vs.
Marvelous can push the envelope better in the Vita.
Adding male characters is a bit of a questionable move though. Unless one of them happens to be Kiriya-sensei.
yeah, Nintendo's restrictions, maybe will be the reason why the mainline games will migrate to Sony consoles in the future, also, the die hard fans are on Vita unfortunately for Nintendo fans who enjoyed the 1st game.

You technically don't need good hardware to have a decent framerate in fighting games, you just need a competent developer at the helm. Dead Or Alive Dimensions running at 60fps with the 3D turned off is proof of that. Any Senran Kagura 3DS framerate issues is not the hardware at fault lol

The anime sucked, so unless they do a better job, I'd rather they not waste my time. =_=
There's way more ecchi in the games, so why waste time with an near-ecchiless anime that was only made to promote the games?
I'm more baffled why they didn't add nipples to the Senran Kagura anime, it had virtually everything else.

Did you even look at the gameplay video? From what I can gather from it, it seem to look even better than Versus. Sure, burst had massive fps issues but the character models where some of the best I seen on the handheld.
There's a limit to fanboyism. It is common knowledge that the vita has more horsepower than the 3DS, so get your head out of Nintendo's ass and stop lying about the fact that the graphics are ugly as sin.

Senran Kagura Burst came out in the North American eShop last November and had decent sales, plus XSEED is teasing a localization of Shinovi Versus on Vita.
Probably would be a while for SK2 to come stateside, but honestly, do your damn research before you post.

Burst was tame. Versus has full strips and is a different thing. Good luck with waiting though.
I wouldn't mind seeing more SV from XSEED. I look forward to the feminist complaints when we get lolis to participate in panty collection PVP or strip battle PVP.
Also at least 2 of the 3 new SK will be going to a system with a HD video out. That's a good ratio.

Senran Kagura started from being a 3DS game, so it is natural that the creators focus on making more games first. Do not worry. If we support their games by buying and playing them, S2 is coming soon.
