Persona Q PV Darker Than Expected

The second PV for student RPG spinoff “Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth” has debuted, showcasing darker elements than the game initially implied, despite the overall cutesy appearance of its chibified characters.
The game highlights the meeting of Persona 3 and 4’s noteworthy characters, with its launch planned for June 5th.

The RPG looks likely be the go-to game for fans trying to abolish Persona 5’s distant release date from their minds – although anyone looking for a remotely modern take on the Megami Tensei franchise evidently has to look elsewhere.

Cheap attempt at putting all your favourite characters in the same game.
'cheap' sure like rest of the dozen games which pulling in characters from other games.
Well, the series is supposed to happen in the same continuity so I don't see the problem here... Although I am wondering why they had to chibify the characters since they could've easily just use the PS2 models.
Because the stylized chibi's look way better then the out-dated PS2 models, and using those would have been lazy as fuck.
They fit better for a 3DS game.
Sega putting Atlus's only Playstation exclusive franchise on a Nintendo. LOL it's over.
Playstation isn't getting any non-Persona SMT, those are also headed for Nintendo.
SMT4 Did great in Japan, but didn't do anywhere near as good outside of that, because the west could give a shit less about handhelds.
Will be more of the same, and even persona die hard's admit this looks pretty bad.
SMT4 isn't even available in Europe... and as the 3DS is zoned we can't import the US version.
By "west", I'm pretty sure you just mean North America, seeing as how the game hasn't even been released in Europe yet.

I love persona, played it since game one. But this looks like shit. How are you supposed to take the game at all seriously?
Let me put this in perspective: This is a Persona game in which all of the main cast members of Persona 3 and 4 meet up. Thus, we get to see the two groups interacting and we can combine them into any team configuration we want.
With a premise as gloriously awesome as that, any and all grievances about the art style are completely and utterly irrelevant. They could have done this with shadow puppets and it would still be just as cool.
