KyoAni’s latest Kyoukai no Kanata has finally concluded, showcasing copious amounts of action and plenty of emotional moments – perhaps convincingly enough to alter some fan perspectives about the anime, as well as perhaps KyoAni in general.
Long story short, it's neither Full Metal Panic nor Tamako Market. The most similar thing that comes to mind is Nagato parts in Haruhi, both the moe and the battles.
I don't know his definition but I will tell you why I didn't like this anime:
the characters and art were fine to me, but the very "core" of the anime is screwed up.
The story doesn't explain the issue of the Nase family very well, there's not much background about Mirai, the respawn thing at the end didn't have ANY sense at all etc.
Plotholes. just too many plotholes.
I didn't read the source material of this show but I can say that KyoAni screwed up.
It really didn't explain anything lol like who the heck that old guy was in Nase family's basement was, how and why the other sister was merged with a youma, how beyond the boundary even got into him, or if he was born with it, the whole show was a plot whole. I imagine that it's basically a show for people who've read the manga.
The show was pretty. But as mentioned above, they didn't try to hard with the plot. The show needed to be 3 episodes longer to explain some of the nonsensical things. And, it outright contradicted itself a couple of times.
imo its no weaker than any other kyoani's stuff but that ending was super weak. they basically set up for a sad ending 3 episodes ago and made they plausible and i excepted it. they sold it well. then they basically pulled a happy ending out of nowhere and it made no sense.
What a redemption from a long line of moeblobs. Glad to see they haven't turned into a one trick pony and can still deliver outside of their power house. Hope to see more versatility with their renown moeblob style.
I concur; the "love" interest was utterly lacking outside of the dudes' weird fetish on glasses it seem to carry much weight in any of his decisions. He was infected by some uber powerful demon that made him immortal, but we never knew how long he's carried that~ years.. decades.. Centuries? Of course he just got it a few months past~ but he wants to carry this shit immortality like a Huge big ass burden but it aint the point of the show... ugh. What a waste of talent- & they're gonna make a Movie outta a show that NOBODY WATCHED!
kyoTards' really living up to that name I gave them since that fuckshit NINE episode farce from haruhi
The show was better when it was fanservice (the idol episode). Trying to make a serious story in 12 eps is a lost cause. It felt extremely rushed, full of plot holes that are never explained and has such a gigantic asspull for a finale that I wish I never wasted my time watching.
But its cute and has good animation so clearly 10/10 material right? Jesus fucking christ.
12 episodes is plenty of time to tell a good story; you just need to actually come up with a good story to tell and pace it properly. KnK seemed to have issues deciding what it wanted to be and who it wanted to please. It spread itself thin trying to do some of everything and have something for everyone, then tried to, "Key", up its finale without having laid the groundwork to make it effective.
Not sure if your comment was sarcasm, but there's still a probability that you really didn't know, so I'll tell you anyway. In other words, took her virginity
The awesome production values kept me watching, but I had no idea wtf was going on most of the time, thought the characters seemed very earnest about something.
Get alive.
People in the manga / anime industry don't earn much money.
Don't like Porn? Don't watch it!
Besmirch? Porn is only "dirty" for hyporcrits and... More
Shindou Ai is best.
She and Ayaka should have a spin-off!

Saw it yesterday! Loved it!
All I did the entire episode was roll my eyes.
You just have some eye illness. Go to doctor.
I think they must need glasses.
Is this anime worth the time Or just another moeblob?
This series is really great compared to other KyoAni anime I've seen (and that was quite a few...)
I'm honestly glad I took up the series back in October, turned out to be one of the top series of this season in my point of view.
That's like saying that the pain wasn't so bad when you shot your foot compared to the time when your hacksawed your leg off...
Long story short, it's neither Full Metal Panic nor Tamako Market. The most similar thing that comes to mind is Nagato parts in Haruhi, both the moe and the battles.
What? This is great? You haven't even seen Clannad After Story
One of Kyoanis weaker entries imo. Annoying characters and boring plot with a completely garbage ending. The show was mediocre at best.
define your definition of "completely garbage" please? I'm curious

Care to explain these plotholes? Because I didn't saw any.

second season brah

The show was ok, but it wasn't anything amazing.
This anime is based on light novel.
imo its no weaker than any other kyoani's stuff but that ending was super weak. they basically set up for a sad ending 3 episodes ago and made they plausible and i excepted it. they sold it well. then they basically pulled a happy ending out of nowhere and it made no sense.

Where have you been all those years since first K-On?
Where the hell and why the fuck did she respawn at the end? I don't even!
She youma now
She's getting ready for the video game.
so this is what passes as "action" nowadays... so sad

How would you be able to shoot your foot if you hacked the leg off?
Prop the leg up on the table infront of you, next question

This show needed more Shidou Ai or more episodes to explain everything

all the yes.
Setting itself up for a 2nd season.
Exactly my thoughts, dear sir.
*dies* oh never mind just respawn on the roof some random days later for no reason other than someone was thinking of them.
At one point i wondered, if her (unchained)* blood has corrosive properties on yomou, what would happen if he picked her flower?
*unchained = takes of that ring.
pick her flower? What does that even mean?
Not sure if your comment was sarcasm, but there's still a probability that you really didn't know, so I'll tell you anyway. In other words, took her virginity
I don't believe anyone anywhere but here would use "picked her flower" it make no sense, you'll shove your hand up there and pinch it out?
i see... thought that i was missing an episode or something..
Deflower.
If someone doesn't understand what moe is, show them that Mirai gif.
This anime could've beaten Kill la Kill if it wasn't for Hiroomi and his yaoi/fuckjoshit bait.
Hiroomi is a siscon so it's OK.
Sorry, but Kyoani can't be forgiven for what they have done and will do again. No mercy.
Dude, please blog Kyoukai no Kanata Idol Saiban, particularly ep 3.
IS SHIT FOR LOSERS THAT WILL DIE WITH JAPAN!
Sure.
The awesome production values kept me watching, but I had no idea wtf was going on most of the time, thought the characters seemed very earnest about something.
