I wish there was a list for Seinin manga.
Gekkan shoujo should be number one on it's list. Ansatsu Kyoushitsu is a pretty great series but the art is SOOOOOO BAD!
Can anybody confirm that these are actually a good read? May just give em a look
Just read them yourselves, everyone has different tastes so no one other than yourself can tell whether you'll like them or not.
... But you should give a try to Sakamoto desu ga?, it's very funny and original.
I would suggest giving Ansatsu Kyōshitsu (Assassination Classroom) a try.
There's a reason why those titles are in the top 10, but you need to find out for yourself.
Well the only thing I've read besides Kyojin from the list is just
Assassination Classroom
-A mysterious lifeform appeared and threatens to destroy the world, but he decides to teach a bunch of failures on how to effectively assassinate him. And there's a large bounty on his head. So the story revolves around Assassination knowledge.
I stopped reading it after about 20-30 chapters. It wasnt exactly most exciting manga. And pretty badly drawn as well.
Badly drawn? Wow you're nitpicking too much. The story's good and if you've read majin Tantei Nougami Neuro back then, you'll know what to expect from the author. Substance over matter, my friend; unless you're too stuck-up to have every drawn publications in the world to be up to Hayao Miyazaki's level of detail.
And 20-30 chapters to judge a manga? Naive, man, naive.
Jesus, assasination classroom is pretty......repetitive.
"Substance" my ass.
repetitive my ass. the plot's still going on good. what thing is repetitive in it anyways? flipping the pages? ha!
You take words out of my mouth, man. And the art actually really good compare to Neuro (and I am a huge fan of Neuro).
14:37 I'm sorry, reply wrong person. What I mean is that the art was really good and the plot is very creative. Who wouldn't love a perfect teacher that can take you around the world?!
Hm... where is Kingdom Manga? Bummer.. Btw you should really give Nanatsu no taizai a try. The manga is quite cool.
Lately there are many good manhwa. If you are interested in manhwa you could have a go with Noblesse and Ruler of the land. Both are good read.
Ajin is fucking amazing. Full stop.
I'm also quite fond of Nanatsu no Taizai, but that's mostly because the guy also did Kongou Banchou.
sorry, meant to say only the Shonen ones
For once that I agree with the top 2...
SAO should not be on that list. The story is a mess with too much convenient plot and hastily added conflict.
Also, it didn't start this year. Wouldn't call the plot a mess though.
....Light Novel...not anime
The light novel started BEFORE the anime. So yea, it STILL didn't start this year.
The argument is that SAO isn't really new. It has 13 light novels and only 2 are from 2013. That is the complaint that it didn't start this year.
Then again, considering that it's about manga of "2014", none of the above stories "started this year".
So how many of those light novels actually started in 2013 ?
The list isn't about 'new' manga, it's about the 'most amazing' manga.
Light novel dumbass, the anime version sucks alot compare to the LNs.
The story is still a mess with too much convenient plot and hastily added conflict.
You didn't read the LNs did you.
Up to volume 6 where I dropped it because it was too much shit to keep going on, so yeah, I've read it almost to the Gun Gale Online arc end, what's your point?
Also, it's the writer's opinion and no yours :P
Just because you can't keep track of more then 2 threads in a story doesn't mean that it's a mess.
Meh... I bet you didn't even heard of the Mother's Rosario arc.
what is this, anime hipster land?
SAO was awful, it just was. The writing was and always has been lazy.
Gun gale and Alfheim are bother stupid beyond belief.
"Princess is in another castle"-Alfheim
"People die when they are killed"-Gungale.
The people who defend SAO and say it's good are the same retards who defend Naruto.
SAO is shit, always has been, always will be.
-----------
Rather read "the gamer" than some (ironically) hack of .hack
You, sir, have just won the internetz. Your single phrase-way to describe each arc was pretty much on point.
Is the little baby jealous his favorite anime will never be as popular or successful as SAO? Please would you like some cheese with your excessive whining?
So many SAO fanboys in this thread. I guess none of them have ever read a well written book by a good writer, or else they'd realize SAO's writing and plot are subpar.
Not as bad as Stephenie Meyer, of course, and among light novels it's probably among the better ones, but it doesn't even come close to a proper book.
"Is the little baby jealous his favorite anime will never be as popular or successful as SAO? Please would you like some cheese with your excessive whining?"
Pretty sure Index is higher in this list, have sold a lot more than SAO overall and is probably much more popular/well known without being the utter crap SAO is.
I dunno, I read a great deal, between manga, and novels, lets see, I've read Ken Akamatsu's stuff, Death Note, Bakuman, GTO, Rorouni Kenshin, Flame of Recca, Zatch Bell, just to list not even 1/10 of the manga I've read, and as for novels, Tamora Pierce's stuff, the Dresden Files, the Night Angel Trilogy, the Black Prism and the Blinding Knife, Glen Cooks The Black Company series, Terry Pratchet, Battle Royale, Shakespeare, Heart of Darkness, and Salvatores Drizzt stuff. Just to name not even 1/10 of the stuff that I've read.
I'd say I'm qualified to be able to tell what is good writing and what isn't. Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean it is bad. Fucking retards.
SAO SUCKS @$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, too much, same as NARUTO( though Naruto was alot better before it started to fall.
Just because you like it despite reading better works it doesn't mean it's well-written. It just means your judgment sucks. Fucking retard.
Ah poor twatsicle, you are so dumb. I did not like Shakespeare, or Heart of Darkness, and those are well written. I may like it but that is because of itself, not because it is well written. Which it still is, as such my judgement is just fine thank you very much. I highly doubt YOU read it in it's original Japanese format either and don't understand how translation works anyway. You can reply if you wish but you are almost certain to make a hate filled response because you have no sense. You have this hilarious irrational hate towards SAO and it just seems to be because someone else liked it. Pathetic.
Apparently japan likes it.
It's a novel don't pretend you read and you hate it
take a time to read a novel so basically if your read you like it and you must not read it
If you don't like it that's your problem.
Yeah, you guys are right about that. Will check em out. Especially the ones suggested.
Sakamoto is boss
king of swag, sakamoto
for once, i'd like to pull off a sakamoto act in my morning class just to see how everyone will react...
Would you catch a typhoon and ride it to school with an umbrella?
You'd have to also say "Sakamoto desu ga..." too!
based sakamoto flexin on em
1. Ansatsu Kyōshitsu
2. Sakamoto desu ga?
3. Ajin
5. Nanatsu no Taizai
6. Shingeki no Kyojin
Among of the good read of the year. Just don't get too caught up in Shingeki no Kyojin fandom. Don't get me wrong; the series is good, it's just that I found the fans are very exaggerating and exaggerated like Naruto back in its early days.
a kyojintard has downvoted you, anon. may thee rest in peace...
