With surprisingly strong focus on the progression of its plot, Unbreakable Machine Doll delivers an abundance of both drama and action in its 10th outing without skimping on its usual bombardment of moe escapades and fanservice.
It is considered that all anime watchers are divided in two groups. Here is a quick rundown of the traits of each:
Type A
someone who really enjoys anime in general;
is proud that they like Japanese anime;
judges anime based on technical stuff such as production, voice acting, graphics, art quality, etc.
dislikes shallow anime that has no real plot;
prefers a good story over cuteness factors;
takes their anime seriously;
Type B
someone who really enjoys characters;
willing to watch any anime as long as it has cute or sexy characters;
doesn't mind if the storyline is lacking as long as the characters are interesting;
loves cuteness, doesn't really go for complex stories that are confusing or take much mental effort to comprehend;
doesn't know that much about anime specifics, so is often made fun of by Type A otaku;
are often more into cosplay, especially dressing up in cute or sexy stuff.
them, too; but i took "idiot" to mean an insult, not a diagnosis of a mental disability, then just rephrased the definition of Dunning–Kruger effect a little to fit the situation.
So logically speaking, most of the people that even bother to go deeper into anime by visiting sites like these & typing anything at all would be type-As. Type-Bs wouldn't only have anything to say about anime, but be bored out of their minds if tried to do so.
Yep, but I referred to the fact many of them don't simply deny it, that would be "cute like tsunderes". Many of them diss type-B to the point of theats and violent wording and attitudes that go way beyond the usual "tsundere embarrassement hiding violence", hence the yandere reference.
That's a nice sentiment, but there's no way in hell Type-As can like everything, period - if Type-Bs can accomplish such a feat.
By 'everything' I mean everything that satisfies the cute factor - which is practically everything in the book. Type-Bs can ignore the deepness of a story if the characters are cute enough as well.
ATX had 2 frames of uncensored nipple in their version... Why even bother having it to be honest. Not worth the shitty quality/audio for the ATX version instead of MX.
I you use MPC you can go into 'tweaks' & type 30 into the 'middle' 'jump distances' box. That should let you jump through all the frames upto 29.97 fps.
if you actually take this type distinction thing seriously then you're an idiot. it's like a bizarre nerdy parody of the already stupid low culture/high culture distinction in the arts. this coming from someone who watches almost exclusively what morons would consider 'type a' or 'high culture' things (though a lot of so-called type a anime are just as garbage as type b and for many of the same reasons)
So if a person uses a simple and rather loose label to distinguish works that have their setting, plot and script as a main focus from ones that instead rely on characters' interactions and resulting comedy routine and the like, that makes the person an idiot and moron.
How sad is that?
The high/low distinction comparison, i consider inappropriate.
This coming from someone who enjoys watching anything regardless of type and genre as long as it is interesting/amusing/etc.
“Almost Type A”
Not even close.
All that "drama" mentioned is a miserably failed attempt, and while there is indeed some plot advancement(about damn time, it's episode 10 out of 12 already) it's still just feeble shifts. Add to that a bunch of naive to the point of irritation and otherwise annoying characters and tons of moe/ecchi fanservice and it becomes apparent that this is a totally type-b anime that just clumsily tries to appeal to watchers outside of its target audience.
No, no, I meant to say that "abundant drama" mentioned in the article is cheap and inconsistent and fails to stir emotions in the wiever(say, me).
Sorry if I didn't make it clear enough.
In the manga, the fan-service is downplayed a lot more than what the anime made it into.
Sad that they decided to go this route, the ecchi is being given way too much attention animation-wise. I'm not a fan of the series, but it has a decent plot.
Who the heck cares bout type A and B
It does a good job at making making me laugh. Seriously the fiance part was like a bombshell for the girls.
What is actually Type A and Type B?
shido
What is a type A?

according to your definition, does that mean type B is kinda passive in watching anime and type A more active (serious)?
You are an idiot, wa-fuu!
that may as well be true.
I mean, idiots themselves don't realize they are such ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
them, too; but i took "idiot" to mean an insult, not a diagnosis of a mental disability, then just rephrased the definition of Dunning–Kruger effect a little to fit the situation.
I think you mean crazy people.
So logically speaking, most of the people that even bother to go deeper into anime by visiting sites like these & typing anything at all would be type-As. Type-Bs wouldn't only have anything to say about anime, but be bored out of their minds if tried to do so.
That sounds about right.
but...what if you enjoy a little bit of both types? or what if you enjoy all of it?
The same as Type B, but tsunderes.
I think you are confusing tsundere with yandere this time...
Yep, but I referred to the fact many of them don't simply deny it, that would be "cute like tsunderes". Many of them diss type-B to the point of theats and violent wording and attitudes that go way beyond the usual "tsundere embarrassement hiding violence", hence the yandere reference.

Oh, i understand your point then.
I think he meant to say that type-a guys like the same things as type-b guys, just refuse to admit it publicly; thus "tsundere" seems appropriate, no?

You... I like you.

- & yeah it is 8 frames.
...Did you really count the amount of frames a version had? i commend your efforts.
It was 8 frames, not 2. You need a better media player.
It was just an exaggeration of just how little there actually was in the episode.
What's wrong with Type-B Anime? I love it! I mean plot is important to but who cares when there's the other "plot"!
nothing, obviously. It has its great titles which are genuinely entertaining and pleasant to watch.
generalizing is wrong, though.

PROUD Type-B Fan.
If I wanted a strong story and high quality I would watch LIVE-ACTION. I just want to see cute girls, laugh and be entertained for 23 minutes.

Why you call it "failed attempt to be type-A" if the author or the producer originally did not wish to do so (probably)?
No, no, I meant to say that "abundant drama" mentioned in the article is cheap and inconsistent and fails to stir emotions in the wiever(say, me).
