No sooner has Microsoft’s Xbox One been unleashed on the handful of territories worthy of its power than it has been subject to a variety of horrible technical issues, although whether they are any more widespread than those afflicting the PS4 is another matter.
Complaints about a “disc-read error” and a supposed system update failure capable of bricking the console have surfaced – though just how common these are in relation to the number of consoles shipped is completely unknown (and doubtless likely to remain so, given Microsoft’s PR lessons):

They do have beta testers even today, Anonymous. The problem is that with high-tech items, there is ALWAYS the chance of a flaw that gets through the inspecting process or a chance of 'damage while shipping' due to harsh treatment of the boxes.
Even PC's are not immune to this.

No no, you're definitely right, PC definitely wins...what with all the times my PS3 has ever blue screened and how often the system updates for it completely disable the sound or internet connection until I find and rollback the drivers to before the update. No wait, that's NEVER HAPPENED on my PS3; I won't speak for this next generation, but if I have to pick either my PS3 or my PC for gaming, the PS3 is WAY more fucking reliable.

Mine is nearly 9 years old, the only thing upgraded was the PSU and GPU (old one broke) and I don't get BSOD's at all unless I'm pushing too far on this old and barely capable hardware.
But yea, if you experience driver issues after installing system updates then maybe you should really stick to consoles, hun. PCs are too complicated for you.

while i had my current pc for about 6 years now, i think ive been through 3 ps3s and about 5 360s. i dont see how consoles are very reliable
Before you insult someone else's arguments, make sure you aren't making an ass of yourself. BSoD can happen for many reasons, including broken drivers, faulty hardware, kernel bugs, power fluctuations, overheating components, malware infections, etc...
All of these things are possible on brand new hardware.
Ya I think PCs are too complicated for this guy...I've built many high end gaming PCs and I've never had BSOD issues...maybe I'll get them if i feel like overclocking like crazy but then its not hard to get it stable either...
Drivers are a non issue too...

Noone ever said BSOD only happens on old HW, you retard. Your comment is entirely irrelevant, BSOD happens mostly due to user being incapable of using his PC properly. You pretty much never get a BSOD if you cared enough to PREVENT it from happening.
The only times you can't prevent it is when your hardware starts acting up, like your HDD starting to fail and whatnot. Every other instance can be prevented and it doesn't even require a lot of effort.

Um.... no. I have a 'decent PC' and I have had a blue screen. However, it has always been traced back to a problem with a program or driver and not a problem with the computer itself.

Consoles have the same parts, idiot. The only difference is that they are mostly soldiered to the motherboard, and you generally can't get replacements other than salvaging another console. Good luck if your PS4 is out of it's 1 year warranty.
here its 2year warranty, and 5 year of "complaint-right" so if it breaks down for no good reason after 4 years and it have no sign of misuse Sony would need to repair it, give a new replacement that is as good as the one you had (or better, PS3 Slim for an 60GB with PS2\PS1 support is an no-no unless customer accepts it), or give you back the money you paid for it at time you bought it
Nokia and Sony are the 2 worst on complaining about this to the government and no shit have cared for em...
maybe the reason why Sony treats us with 3-9 months repairtime on DOA systems while if you got a RROD on an X360 Microsoft sent a currier-car with an replacement with in a maximum 5days

One of my old PC (P4 Prescott) I gave to relative still working fine after 11 years :)
I have a 7 year old 40gb segate HD and it still works fine and has 12k hrs clocked on it lol
