just like Suzuki... told some friends over in the US that i got myself an Suzuki Kizashi and they were "eh... whats that? an square box with an 1liter rice-rocket engine?"
told them it was an D-class car with an 2.4 liter 180hp engine and it got 4wd... and their reaction was like (hey... Suzuki dont make any D-class, and what do you need 4wd on an car for? its not like you are driving offroad?)

a car for boys that got to much of what they asked for from their rich parents... just like the Toyota Supra, Mazda RX7 and Nissan Skyline's... not strange the insurance is absurd on em because of all the stupid dadysboys that shouldn't have an car with more than 30hp pr.1000kg because they cant handle em...
(and to those who says the IX and newer are crap, try to find an US-car that is better... because we cant make cars that is good price\performance vice and still don't break down all the time (cheap parts don't help when you cant get 1000 miles before total engine breakdown))
want a good looking Mitsu with superb performance get an 3000GT VR4. the insurance is high on it but still 1\3 of an Lancer EVO VIII RS. parts is not cheap for it dough but still not as bad anything Chrysler have touched (HEMI and Viper *hark*, even the "clone" Dodge Stealth have more expensive parts even it is the same bloody car just with an ugly rear wing...)
else you got the old Galant VR4... 4wd and 4ws and goes like hell and got low insurance (at least here)
did have an EU model and it did close to an 240km\h (150mph) with the only modifications done was an new brain, muffler and an newer Garret turbo. was rock stable on the road, had no use of oil an had run over 350000km...
bah... buy an standard Mitsu' ASX 4wd and you got an car for an lifetime, and if you got an diesel version it goes over 40 miles\gallon i stead of an Chevy Cherokee that does a little over 10 MPG on a good day with storm blasting in its ass
