What in the world is this show even about?
Main character got turned into a vampire, but a wandering monk guy turned him back into a human. He has increased healing and vision, but he no longer has his vampire strength. He keeps running into spiritual phenomenon and he's one of those types that can't turn his back on people. He gets his ass kicked a lot. Ummmm, his loli groping thing is kind of a run-on gag in the show. But he actually has a serious girl friend that he's afraid to cheat on.
If it were not for a fact that Senjougahara can't see or hear Mayoi, Araragi would have been stabbed with a mechanical pencil to the eyeballs over a few hundred times by now.
In Araragi's defense, backpack girl is in her 20's (and actually likes him groping her), sundress girl is several hundred years old and just adopts a loli form to save energy, and eyebrows girl doesn't really have an age as such because she's just an artificially-created meatpuppet.
In other news, I can't really believe that there are people here who don't know anything about this show.
This show has a very, very strange effect. It's horrible, horrible to watch. HORRIBLE! But, if you start viewing it at a good episode, you tend to get caught up in the story line. And that's when you realize that it's actually a really good plot. So then you go back to the beginning and watch the rest.. Which are awful to watch, but compelling all the same. It's like watching a poorly drafted, hypnotic suggestive, tv commercial. And it's a boring talking anime... Talk, talk, talk, talk about nonsense for 3/4 of an episode. Then finally something interesting happens. In summary, great plot, exceptionally entertaining action scenes, horrible cut scenes, nauseating dialogue at times and ridiculous auto-suggestive-hypnotic animation. A fantastic story butchered by an unfortunate arrangement.

As much as I love loli anime (Kodomo no Jikan) I don't think I'll be watching this one. The art style is wierd, like it's all water color or something. Also, I expected more loli groping than this. I am curious though. are all the xxxmonogatari anime the same running story? or... are they all seperate anime with different characters?

Well, technically he can do w/e he wants to Mayoi since she is ghost (go watch that doujin, it's good). Shinobu is really old so it's legal loli (and w/e the hell you want). And Oonoki is... well not alive so that's probably the only part that can get you in trouble legally (I think necrophilia is a crime).
