I agree with you, at least the first season had a purpose. The only purpose of this season is to see how mad Ichika can make you as you watch him be a complete clueless idiot while girls fling themselves at him from every direction. I really don't know how anybody has the patience to watch this anime. If a guy was this uninterested in girls in real life he would have to be gay.
Ok...what was the purpose of season 1?
It set up the flimsy plotline and introduced all the characters and their reasons for being there. Which while it wasn't interesting it was enough to distract you from how stupid Ichicka is.
Maybe Ichika isn't dense to the girls around them, but plays so because he's really into older women (specifically his sister)? If the girls became as aloof and kuudere as his sister is, would he notice them more?
He's not dense, that's for certain....but as fast as he runs, I still think he's gay.....
