Technically the only difference between a "loli" and a "little girl" is the mindset of the individual viewing it.

Even in Japan loli can technically be categorized as child porn, the law is simply not being enforced. Every major country in the world except one sees loli as either illegal, or gray area that can be cracked down on at any time.

Laws of most countries are basically based on "common sense" of the masses, in other words, religion, bigotry and irrationality.

The exception is China, where all live porn or those using live models are illegal, based on the idea that actors/actresses are necessarily victimized by the porn industry regardless of age. But any material not made using live model, ranging from 2D to realistic 3D, is explicitly worded by the law to be legal. No victim, no crime.

How are they supposed to know the difference between loli and little girls? Even lots of otaku don't really know the difference -_-

Weather loli manga is CP or not is just a big fat red herring. Anti-CP laws exist to protect children from being exploited in making it. Applying the same rules to both just because they both qualify as CP (regardless of weather that holds true) completely overlooks the fact that the main argument against CP does not fucking apply to drawings.

They probably use the (VERY WIDE) definition for the "child porn" described in the UN's "Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography" () as "any representation, by whatever means, of a child engaged in real or simulated explicit sexual activities or any representation of the sexual parts of a child for primarily sexual purposes."

But they "forget" to notice, that this document demands that "acts and activities", related to the "child porn", must be "covered under its criminal or penal law" only in the case when they are used "for the above purposes (...) of: a. Sexual exploitation of the child; b. Transfer of organs of the child for profit;c. Engagement of the child in forced labour". When there's no children engaged, then there's no reason for punishment.

Not to disagree, but you have to admit; loli porn is basically pseudo paedo. Just because it's not real, doesn't neccessarily mean it does not hold similar or the same connotations. The Japanese iterally use the term lolicon and shotacon for paedophiles.

A violent media medium is made to target violent loving people (pretty much every human). Loli is basically the same. Both of which aren't real in any way so whatevers. Only those who can't distinguish reality and fiction and also blur the 2 have cognitive problems.
