Chinese Irons & Kettles “Contain Spam Chips”

made-in-china-iron

Chinese made irons and kettles have reportedly been caught hacking into wireless networks to disseminate spam and viruses.

According to Russian media reports, electric kettles and irons discretely boasting their own wireless transmitters have been discovered breaking into poorly secured networks within a “200m radius” in order to spread viruses and spam.

Unsurprisingly, more sophisticated equipment like mobile phones and dashcams have also apparently been identified.

The devices appear to be part of regular commercial shipments rather than any
, and their discovery does not come at a good time when fears over backdoors inserted into network equipment made by army-affiliated giants like Huawei already threaten sales of non-clandestine IT equipment in many territories.

I'd say "Don't buy shit made by Huawei, ZTE and Foxconn." but that is simply not possible. These guys are everywhere. Almost impossible to buy a router NOT made in China. But this story proves my mum was right. Always remember to unplug the iron.

American companies have done the same.

    >Roy Zoppoth stands over a Xerox 914 copy machine, the world's first, which was used in soviet embassies all over the world. The machine was so complex that the CIA used a tiny camera designed by Zoppoth to capture documents copied on the machine by the soviets and retrieved them using a "Xerox repairman" right under the eyes of soviet security.

Let's not give the US a free pass for spying the whole world.

.....nobody mentioned the U.S. at all and no one was giving them a free pass. You just literally took a story about China and turned it around so you can take a swipe at America. You probably think the Americans killed off the dinosaurs as well huh....

You are missing the point, that the problem is not China specifically but government and corporations in general.

    Also Russian did the same:
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/10411473/Russia-spied-on-G20-leaders-with-USB-sticks.html

    >Russia spied on foreign powers at last month’s G20 summit by giving delegations USB pen drives capable of downloading sensitive information from laptops, it was claimed today.

    >The devices were given to foreign delegates, including heads of state, at the summit near St Petersburg, according to reports in two Italian newspapers, La Stampa and Corriere della Sera.

The problem is almost all the microchips are made in China. They might put in some random product.

And this is why Chinese people should riot for something that actually matter, instead of some fucking island they'll never see or make use of.

They riot over the island because their gov manipulated them to. When the population is about to explode a riot you diverge their anger to an external enemy.
