And why does kantai Collection need to have a story ? It does not have a story board at the beginning, why bother to add one ? Why not just focus on cute girls doing cute things why chewing on resources and drive the admiral mad ?

Just got a chuckle out of imagining public outcry against an anime depicting the IJN’s prized (and expensive) fleet doing nothing but lazing around and wasting taxpayer dollars. Though I guess it’s not a complete waste; they ARE cute, after all.
