On the one hand it's like complimenting a girl for a sweater, and then realizing there's a boy with a matching one just next, and being consequent. On the other, you get different results if you compare average or current vs extreme or potential values. And as your information budget expands, you can pay less and less heed to the virtual recommendation the LN constitutes.

This is true to some degree in every anime and manga but Outbreak takes it to new levels of ridiculousness. Looking at the pictures in this post, the face of each major female character is exactly the same as every other. Outline, size, shape, eyes, all exactly the same. The only difference is the hair, clothing, and shape of the mouth.
Now it is true that all Japanese look a lot alike, but come on, this is just lazy. Maybe the animation studio is trying to save money by using unregistered demo versions of the anime drawing programs and can only have a limited number of character templates?
I believe they are more after making than saving money.
Never heard of this, but I don't really like the character designs... the blue-haired "hime" looks especially bad IMO... she reminds me a bit of the Poro art (dunno why) -_-

Not really true, K-ON doesn't really have fanservice but it's still hailed being the epitome of type-B.
not overly fanservice in this anime so worth watching, but the other anime about hero working (man... too similar to mao working anime before) is really terrible with overly fanservices... seriously with that many ppl usually watch it somewhere else
the mao one is very good but the new hero working one is not worth mentioning -.-
