The fact that there wasn't any yuri making out considering the plot of this OVA was that they were all drunk is just...unacceptable. WTF is wrong with them? They should really be more aware of what the viewers want.

This is what happens when kaneko hiraku (Hoods) and Akio Takami (Xebec), the greatest ecchi minds in the anime industry, unite to make an OVA.

good lord. i wasn't expecting that much. for those who haven't seen it yet this thing is basically pure ecchi from start to finish. it doesn't even fucking try to be anything else and is all the better for it. even the non-nudity stuff is ridiculously hot. i guess maken-ki is saved after all.

tbh, the manga really doesnt have a lot of fan service, it has stuff no doubt. But it actually trying to do more, like a plot and so on. Its not that bad arcs so far, rather typical arcs for an action manga

I still don't understand why they replaced Takeda Hiromitsu's art style. What, a genuine Hentai mangaka's style wasn't ero enough as is? Instead we get a way more generic style, for no discernible reason.
Probably has to do with being more efficient to animate in the new style(Xebec's signature style) rather than trying to replicate Hiromitsu's style to the dot while sacrificing the animation. Look up the term Kaneda style, it might broaden your knowledge in the animation process Japan employs for giving creative freedom to lead animators.
Are you insane? This is the most ecchi that Maken Ki has ever looked, not that it looked bad before. Just look at those nips. Not everyone is a fan of Akio Takami's style when it coems to faces though (Kanokon and Ladies X Butlers), I guess. I wish the director (Hiraku Kaneko) and the character animator (Akio Takami)had actually swapped places.
actually, if you look at certain scenes (like the scene with aki sensei) you can see that it's more along the lines of hirako kaneko's art style. that manyuu/seikon oppai style. akio takami's oppai style is a little softer, with a little more realism, and less intense (still awesome, but hirako kaneko's art is definitely more ecchi just because it's more intense).
overall, though, i think there was some blending of both's art style, even in other scenes, but not as much as in aki sensei's scene. it looks pretty good, imo.
btw, i agree that this is easily the ecchiest of maken-ki's anime adaptations.
the tv show had sucky hentai quality animation, which is not a compliment.
the first season of maken-ki had sucky animation quality. the art was nice, but damn the animation was horrendous in some places.
No, it almost had Sucky Hentai quality animation. If you want Sucky Hentai quality then watch Manyuu or Seikon no Qwaser.

no way, Manyuu and Seikon were leagues above most hentai animes in animation quality. most h-animes are so shittily/lazily done that it's nearly impossible to get aroused (unless, of course, you can ignore the shittyness). on the other hand, with Seikon/Manyuu, I was actually able to fap without any sex involved! MIRACLE.
