“Asuna vs Shana” – Fighting Climax Indeed

Sega’s newly announced “Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax” seems likely to raise the bar for anime-styled 2D fighting games (as well as generic franchise crossovers), with a full cast of top anime characters appearing as playable fighters – already including the likes of Shana, Wilelmina, Asuna and Leafa.
Release details are due in early October – so far only Shana and Asuna have been fully revealed, although aside from Dengeki’s vast array of anime heroines there does seem to be remote chance even of Miku making an appearance given Sega’s involvement, although also the usual risk of a fully Sega Quality title…

It would pretty hard for Sega to mess up on 2D fighting game. All they gotta do to succeed is cut'n'paste the new characters onto some Genesis mortal combat or street fighter and they're solid.

What does anime license has to do with game adaption anyway? Both the animes and this game are just adaption from the novel so if the novel publisher - Dengeki says yes then the rights are approved already

The visuals are bad, the artwork is mediocre. Doesn't exactly give a great first impression.

They don't look bad at all. Though I think Shana-tan is too big.
Her character or portrait? Because they should've moved her portrait down a little bit to make her because Shana is DEFINITELY smaller than Asuna.

Would expect crossover character from SEGA too.
