    A lot of these are just girls who get "abused", I don't see many of them actually enjoying it. Sure some do, like Kuroko for sure.

    This isn't an industry known for precision definitions of slang, the professionals themselves have a blurry grasp. It'd be vague even if it wasn't an adopted word - which, I shouldn't have to remind you, won't be subject to the original tongue's meaning.

    The list is conflicting, it has many victim characters, written to wind up on the end of teasing to the point of being teary-eyed, to be swept along another's pace. It also has more traditional M's, interested in being someone's "attention".

    Rhumb line navigation. It's similar to how in some personality theories you're initially interested in who you can feel safe around, and end up with the big five, because you get hooked while keeping your aspect the same. So it's like a different notion under the same label.

    You can bet all your honesty some of them could easily score like Yui Ichi did. It's just that they are expressing their M tendencies unclearly.

    Sacchan, well, she's just M and sometimes claim herself a little S.

    Kuroko, yeah, as long its Misaka doing the beating, she's all M for it.

    Izumi, she only claim herself as M occasionally.

    Kuuko, she only take abuse from Nyaruko, and some physical/verbal abuse from Mahiro. Anyone else aside from these two, get ready to be charred.

    Some of the rest from the list are just getting bullied quite often by other casts, and no, they certainly does not enjoyed it (Mio, Popura, Yasuna, Mikuru).

    Another potion of the rest, I don't even see a tiniest reason why they deserved to be on the list (Himeji, Momo, Shino, Sanae, Asia, Chiho)

    My conclusion? 85% of people who voted for the list should check Thesaurus for the definition of 'Masochism/Masochist'.

    Well, it could be worship or teasing, the former being probably viewed as an M activity, and the outwardly similar latter being an S stimulus. It's in the details, as usual, and there's a cleft in the notions to account for - illustrated by the (theoretical) dilemma whether a sadist would irritate a masochist by sparing her the "torment" or not. That meta-level of ordinary and non-sexual cruelty often gets labeled sadism as well, leading to the perceived vagueness.
