Wanting to confirm whether the assertion of one based on the other (rather than the reverse) is based in fact or baseless, it is reasonable to seek information (not included) about whether these two things were released close together or far apart.
Learning that the album/s were released a longish time ago removes any room for doubt.
Without blaming the article writer, it is nevertheless possible for unquenched curiosity to be piqued (and followed up on) even if words are not ignored.
Modelling the 2d artworks based on 3d shots didn't work out well - the proportions look out of place, sometimes rather forced, and her head blown up like a watermelon.
They should have done it the other way round (have the woman pose after 2d pictures) and it might have worked out better.
